I'm a looter shooter, absolutely... lol. I'm not going out there to protect businesses but you better stay the fuck away from my house.. Unless you're one of the many friends I have open invitations to come ride this shit out with me if they need to.. Our house is pretty big. It'd be cramped but it's more than workable. (asuming they brought their own supplies, we could probably handle up to 20 people easily). I'd just have to do a lot of rearranging.

I love how in Texas there's just like this implied understanding in every network of people that if shit's going bad for them where they are, there's probably somewhere else everyone's gathering that's better.. Every hurricane I've been an adult for has been that way. Pretty incredible.

We lost electricity for just under two weeks back in 2011. It was an eye opening experience as to what becomes valuable. Gasoline and ice were pretty hot commodities.

It was funny watching all the dope heads freak out when they had a prescription but they couldn't get it filled. If it had lasted another week it would have really gotten ugly in my little neighborhood. One night we heard my neighbor screaming at his wife, "YOU LET THE ICE MELT YOU STUPID BITCH!", lol.

My useless neighbors stole the gasoline out of my John Deere. Not only that, they left the cap off for rain to get in the tank. :crankey: I probably would have let him have the gas if he'd asked for it, but I also would have probably shot him in the leg if I caught him trying to steal it.

Harvey just made landfall as a Cat 4. Stay safe, Texans!

Remember, if the storm suddenly stops don't go outside. Stay inside. It might start back up again.

Current predictions have my area starting to get hammered around 2 am.. Friend on the other side of the bay is already getting rain and wind. Wind is picking a bit around here but nothing else yet really.

Just looked at the radar for Houston and there are tornados all over the place

That's not near as bad as what Houston and Galveston will get, but still incredible for a hurricane to reach that far inland.
