Hello to all The Smurfs;-)

If its organically grown honey there may easily have been some "dirt" in the honey itself. If you're not sure if its contaminated of not, wait 3-4 days to see if the little brown specs spread. If you see them multiply or grow...then it's probable that its contams. If not, use it:-) See what shakes!

honey often does contain significant amounts of debris.
smell the jar to detect contams.
if contams occur, a small fish hook can be sterilized and used to snag a bit of mycellium which can then be transfered to a dish of peroxidated agar and grown out. contams won't grow on the peroxidated agar but mycellia will. after it grows out, cut a small wedge well away from the originally contamed piece and transfer for use in syringes, grain, etc.
