How is that a legal stop? She should have taken that to the Supreme Court.

Anything that draws attention will get attention. The color red is enough to get you pulled over. It's basic psychology. Drive a boring ass car at the speed limit and you might as well be invisible...

Yeah I never keep any stickers on my car, just kinda screams pull me over for the most part even if the stickers are not related to any illicit activity. Its fucking stupid.

I personaly think it dosent matter, cops know who are crimnals before even pulling someone over, you can have my stududent is an A student or DARE stickers, if you are trafficking or selling dope they already know before they stop you, especially now a days with smart phones and gps.

Yes and no , depending on the stickers. Having the local university football memorabilia is good thing around here, during Fball season it's a good award silence breaker if you're ever in that situation ( like just passing by,  waiting in line , or worse on elevator)

Aren't they allowed to stop you for any reason? Just not arrest you.

My ex was pulled over for driving a crappy, old car in a wealthy neighborhood.

It's not like it's hard for them to fabricate a reason either. They could claim you were speeding or something "looked suspicious".

Then once they have you stopped for any reason they come up with they just need a dog to give a cue and they have a reason to thoroughly search your car...

We should be able to search cops to make things a little more fair.

uh yeah, but if you know what to do when you get pulled over it will drastically reduce your chances of search, ticket, or getting your ass beat.
1. pull over in the safest place for the cop to get to your window you can.
2. turn on the dome light, broad daylight or not turn that fucker on.
3. Hands at ten and two, where they can see them.
3. If its a state trooper call them trooper, not officer, if its an LEO say officer or sir, Ma'am, boss whatever respectful and appropriate for your area.
4. If the cop prints your car, meaning puts an open hand on the back of your car and pulls straight up, that means he doesn't feel safe, don't make any sudden moves smile allot maybe crack a joke, make him feel like you are not a threat.
5. Be mostly honest, if he asks you why he pulled you over, if you were speeding he fucking knows you were, cut the shit and he might give you a break.

With medical and recreational Cannabis legal here it's not like they can profile stoners/ hippies as much anyways. Of course other drug related stickers would still be a red flag, looking like a hippie is still the worst probably. Or being a minority...

Pretty sure metabolites can stay in your body and make you test positive well after 12 hours...

Thankfully so many people smoke these days it's hard to tell unless your driving is clearly impaired or you look like a hippy or drug user.

Cops will print a car if they suspect they might get shot the print is to establish evidence. its common practice in some cities
