Weights and Wings

I was watching some Pat Roberts-esque bull mash on the television today. Some of the stuff brought me to a roaring laugh, but there was something that this fanatical preacher said that I liked.

Everybody should evaluate the things that they carry with them. Are they assets or liabilities? Does that grudge you are holding advance you or impede you? (As sclorch may say) The esoteric beliefs you carry around, do they help or hamper you? What about your anger? Judgement? Material Possesions?

Yes, wings vs. weights.

Without some ballast you are apt to be blown about like a ship without a keel.

It is however good to find wisdom in the words of that fool preacher it is part of the fun.

I agree with Ed and cleaner. I learned from someone today it's all about losing one's self-importance. If one loses one's self-importance, one cannot be hurt. Something like that.
