I had a dream I was a werewolf
    #24083908 -

Is this symbolic for some reason?

I remember in the dream silver didn't kill me but it stopped me from becoming a werewolf at least fully I still had the strength and powers but wouldn't transform completely so I held a bunch of it in the palm of my hand, I thinned it out so it was as thin almost as a cream and rubbed it on my hand so it stuck there. I really enjoyed eating people it was like this adrenaline and I would feel the taste of their flesh and it was amazing but unfortunately I didn't want to do this as since I had super wolf powers I was given tasks by other humans like to save people as though I was a firefighter or something.

It was pretty amazing it was empowering like I wanted to scrape off the silver and throw it away to fully become my entire self but I couldn't if I wanted to do good, it was especially hard not to when I would meet other creatures of power as well, such as undead or vampires or whatever like I said it was dream but I couldn't. This was very tricky and a challenge to accomplish but it was still bad ass because even not transformed fully I had way more powers then a normal human for example my senses were amplified.

Any thoughts on this? I'd really like to know if anyone else feels this has some transformative meaning or something. I hope so. I feel like in the last few years of my life I've never had more freedom I've gone quite a lot of places and yet in some ways I've never felt more trapped. I really want to know what this dream represents but then again I guess that's part of it it's like if it had some direct specific meaning then it wouldn't have the representation it had.

well the whole thing of the transformation into a werewolf is that what was repressed~~ wildness~~ is dramatically taking over the human so possessed.
The same theme is in the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

In religious and secular civilization we are born into, 'wildness' is not acceptable, and hence these stories have this wild aspect as very dangerous to oneself and others.

But your Big Dream seems, to me -though I don't know you--seems to be drawing attention symbolically to how you FEEL:

So may be this dream is encouraging you to look into why it is you feel so trapped?

The werewolf context/dream is more beast and wildness: a person engaging with natural forces than the jekyll-hyde context, which is more dyonisian: wherein an enlightened man uses a substance to connect with the power of his uncivilized totality.

here in the dream, silver was a substance used to diminish transformation

Very deep. Good analysis. Yet in this dream I felt quite the opposite. It was more like I was finally finding relief.

The awesome aspect was that as opposed to how I usually feel which is trapped despite living in freedom and not overwhelmingly stuck in this dream that feeling was completely gone.

I really like your comparison to the dream representing wildness and how wildness is repressed by society and only bad people are labeled as wild. That to me was the main representation. I truly feel people suppress themselves with these habits. The habits of order in life make sense people create them to help themselves but the attention they give and personality created to habits that simply exist just for the purpose of organising a person's survival are much like what you described.

We try to domesticate ourselves and the wild part of us that exists as in all animals is a label we only give to people we consider "messed up" and untamed. I wish I had seen this dream more deeply for what it is.

It's so cool you could describe its representation. If you had asked me the same question I simply would have said "I have no idea"

Yes exactly. I never understood the part about the silver. Why diminish the transformation if we are not connecting the Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde transformation experience?

Although it's true in the dream I felt enlightened and not transforming from an enlightened person to one who connects to the power of his uncivilized totality. I still don't understand the purpose of the silver though. Why diminish the transformation?

Furthermore if it's metaphorical then perhaps diminishing the transformation might be positive. I still don't why though

I think you are becoming a literal werewolf.  Wait till the next full moon, eat alot of mushrooms before midnight and stand naked in the moon beams.  (dont).  This is the only explanation.

You aren't fully ready to let go, so you hang on to your asset.

The logic of that explanation is quite sound indeed.

This time I'll let go of the silver.

the substance that diminishes transformation is the constraint with which you are entangled.

Oh I see.

Yes that makes sense. In the dream it was cool to hold on to the silver because it was interesting to halt transformation.

Yet I still wanted to let go to see what would happen if I no longer held on to the silver. I simply couldn't.

Maybe in the future I will have different dreams with a different sense of purpose with less restraint and I'll describe it and the sense of exhilaration won't be limited. I look forward to that.

Thanks for taking part in the discussion. I'm glad I had this dream I've learned a lot from it and from discussing it I feel.
