The seagate should be faster right? Both 2TB which is what I'm looking for. I duno, anyone think I'm better off with the Western Digital? I just need it for gaming so obiously the SSD would be the way to go.

I usually go with Seagate over WD, but I have no experience with SSDs so that's a hard one. If it were me I'd probably go with the WD just because I don't really know much about SSDs or their vulnerabilities. I know they used to (maybe still are) pretty damn expensive and one for just over 100 dollars would make me kinda nervous about it's longevity.
BTW I Just went to look and see if SSDs are still pretty expensive and Amazon has it with free shipping for 90.. https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Desktop-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST2000DX001/dp/B00EIQTKAS/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1477345474&sr=1-8&keywords=solid+state+drive

I don't know a ton about hardrives but I am cheap and would opt for the first one probably.
If they both have a 64/mb transfer speed I imagine there won't be a huge difference but like I said I don't know for sure.
Personally I would probably opt for an even cheaper 1TP drive as that would be plenty of space for me and you may be able to find one for 50% he price of the cheaper 2TB one.

I definatly want 2 TB, even tho 1TB lasted me about one and a half years. The extra 40$ for me isn't a huge deal, but it is nice. I always assumed for gaming anyways, that SSD was the way to go. I mean I read both reviews and even some on other products and it seems like weather Mechanical or Solid state, a lot of people experience having their components fail. It's just dicey because SSD's are always more expensive but in this case the SSD is cheaper which Is wierd.

As far as I know the only limit to the amount of internal drives you can have is the space in your case and how many places on your motherboard/psu there is to plug them up.
As for SSD being superior for gaming, again I don't know a lot about them, but to my knowledge the only real benefit is load times. If you're actually concerned with saving a few seconds here and there, it might do something for you, but overall it won't make a lot of difference. I can't remember the last game I played that had unusually long load times. In a game like Skyrim, when you're outside traveling around, it's not going to have a noticeable difference I don't think. But if you're in a town going into everyone's homes and robbing them, then you might start shaving off time from the load screens. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
EDIT: In online gaming, you can only do so much to make the game faster on your end. No matter how fast your computer is, there is always going to be a loading delay while your computer downloads the information it needs to show the non-static features of the game (like other people's characters).

SSHD are garbage, its just a compromise.
Get a small SSD and a Large HDD

Thats exactly what I have tho.
I've got a 250GB SSD for my OS and already HDD, but I need another HD for more space.
I mainly want to know which one will be faster, because both are 2TB.
You say SSHD are trash but when looking at the specs, its clear that money wise and speed the SSHD is the better deal compared to the HDD.
unless I'm missing something?

SSHD is basically a mechanical drive with a small SSD to cache frequently used stuff (which, if you already have a SSD, is of questionable advantage since your OS should be able to use that to do the same thing). IIRC the "Black" hard drive line is supposed to indicate better reliability than the cheapest hard drives.

So do u think I'm better off with the WD Black?
It is the most expensive I only assume that is because it could either be A)Better more dependable B)Brand name C) both
I'm thinking of getting the black, It will be more expensive but I've had no problems with my other HDD of the same brand.

I have had a couple of WD Green drives fail (haven't bought a hard drive in a while but I usually went with whatever was the cheapest). Green was their cheapest line at the time. The Black ones apparently have a 5 year warranty. Nothing is going to be failure proof, but that seems like quite a long warranty for a computer component.

solid state drives seek, read and write faster, you also dont have to worry about dropping them and crashing the heads
