haha, gotta love the waybackmachine, this is from 1996:


the funny thing is, i still have one of those exact drives in my computer. it makes a great SWAP drive and it has been used extensivly since about 1997, and still works flawlessly with no bad sectors.. they just don't makem' like they used to!

I remember paying over a hundred bucks for 4 megabytes of ram for my 486 with 66mhz. Damn that computer was fast, especially when you hit that turbo button.

My old Commodore had a massive 64 kilobytes of RAM. I thought that thing was the shit!

Yeah, I have a lot of fond memories of mine too. It did have some cool games, didn't it? I spent many an pleasant hour in my early adolescence happily fooling around with that thing... :laugh:

it'd be sweet to have a turbo button these days...

i was in the goodwill yesterday and saw one of those huge towers, you know the kind that go to your thigh... it had the turbo button and i couldnt help but laugh.... they wanted like $24 for it... stupid goodwill...

Yea.. I have an 8088 in my closet right now.. I was thinking about throwing it away the other day but for some reason I just cant seem to do it.

I remember when my parents took me out to get our first family computer back in the late 80's. It was an Apple //c and I vividly remember the salesman bragging about how it had 128k of ram. I remember it so clearly that I can even quote him as saying, "You will NEVER need more than 128k ram"
