Sorry for the 3 post in a row hat tick, but it's relevant..

Nice guys are dangerous because they often feel they're immediately owed something.. And, well, they can be dangerous. Stalking, etc.
They're so out of touch with reality and get so frustrated and mad when things don't go their way with women. Like a petulant child.
That stupid Asian dude that shot up the college a few years ago killing all those people was a nice guy. He made a video that he posted before the rampage about how all the women like douche bags instead of nice guys like him.. That was his fucking motive.. Legit..

Same thing happened in Santa Barbara.  Some shit-stain of a person named Elliot Rodgers.
On May 23, 2014, in Isla Vista, California, Elliot Rodger killed six people and injured fourteen others near the campus of University of California, Santa Barbara, before taking his own life.

The attack began when 22-year-old Rodger stabbed three men to death in his apartment. Afterwards, he drove to a sorority house and shot three female students outside, killing two. He drove to a nearby deli and shot to death a male student who was inside. He began to speed through Isla Vista, shooting and wounding several pedestrians and striking several others with his car. Rodger exchanged gunfire with police twice during the attack, receiving a non-fatal gunshot to the hip. The rampage ended when his car crashed into a parked vehicle and came to a stop. Police found him dead in the car with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Before driving to the sorority house, Rodger uploaded to YouTube a video titled "Elliot Rodger's Retribution", in which he outlined details of his upcoming attack and his motives. He said he wanted to punish women for rejecting him and to punish sexually-active men for living a more enjoyable life than his.

After uploading the video, Rodger e-mailed a lengthy autobiographical manuscript to approximately a dozen acquaintances and family members. The document, which he titled "My Twisted World", was made available on the Internet and became widely known as his "manifesto". In it, he described his childhood, family conflicts, frustration over not being able to find a girlfriend, his hatred of women, his contempt for racial minorities and interracial couples, and his plans for what he described as "retribution".

"nice guys" are fucking gross

I refuse to drop the scare quotes... They're not nice guys. They're assholes. Real nice guys don't have any pretenses about their niceness, they're nice because they're nice, not because they think sex is purchased with small favors and lip service, and they get laid hella much

Ouch, harsh.

I guess I haven't seen enough of his posts to say either way.
Sort of funny, he's now pretty ubiquitous posting here, but I dont remember him ever posting before, just the last few months. Kinda weird.

Meh, Sheeks has tried to psychoanalyze me a couple of times now. It's all good, he's having his fun.

I think the reason you never noticed me before (as with many) is that I wasn't a mod. All of a sudden that flag appears by my handle and everyone's like 'who's this guy' even though I'd been posting here for years.

Oddly, the amount of shit I got for being a mod in the early days is partly what's kept me coming back here with increasing frequency.

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

Though I'm not a mod, I'm familiar with this pattern. The more shit I catch on the shroomery, the more I want to post here. Kinda twisted.

Mmmm. It's must either be the paradoxical nature of life, or that we've both got masochistic tendencies... (I know I have)

I've got masochistic tendencies out the yin yang, so that's probably it. I love pain, it fucking turns me on. I wonder how many people who have abused me here realized I was getting off on it all along.

Likewise sister, likewise. The difficulty I found in this 'online' world, is that I've never been in a position where people could talk shit to me without being able to become physically involved when they pushed too far. That was a big 'ol headfuck for me at first. I feel like I've gotten to grips with it a lot better now, but man, it was a challenge at first. I'm so used to fighting people (even though I haven't in years), and enjoying the anger and adrenaline and the pain of the blows, that it confused the hell outta me.

I don't think I'm much of an emotional masochist TBH, but a massive physical one.

I was a fighter back when I was a kid. I got into fights all the time. I loved that rush of fear that comes with realizing somebody in your immediate vicinity wants to fuck you up. That's how you know you're alive.

This conversation is making me want to take up martial arts again.

Internet is fucked up, people think they can get away with saying anything. As if they don't exist in the real world when they're spouting idiocy on the internet, as if nobody out there is being affected. I believe those people deserve to get beaten up.

if the internet didn't exist, people would still be spouting idiocies. moot point. So you would rather use your fists on people to tell them their ideas are wrong? lol

I used to have both, didn't go anywhere. I deleted them fairly quickly. Might make a new Okcupid one when I'm fully moved in, cause I do need to meet local folks. But I really prefer that in person. While there is convenience to online stuff, it doesn't feel ideal to me. Bumble is apparently good for meeting romantic partners. But I have coworkers on that, and coming across each other's profiles & having to swipe left or right :feelsweirdman:

okc is way better in the city imo, you should give it a try for as long as you can stand it. I get burnt out on dating pretty quick so I de-activate mine pretty quickly too.

Meetup.com is also a good bet - dating sites are great for seeing who's out in your area who's also trying to meet new people but they're really hard to make platonic friends on for obvious reasons.

I've come across former co workers, mutual friends I had hung out with before but didn't really know, and my exes brother - neither of us messaged each other in the latter, it was just a :uhoh: moment when I clicked on a 90% match and it turned out to be him

I didn't mean that people I disagree with should get beaten up. I meant that people who use the internet as a means and a license to harass and abuse people in ways they wouldn't be able to get away with anywhere else... Deserve to get beaten up.

have you never been to 4chan? Good luck with that.

Btw, i was aware that this what you orgininally meant, i still stand by my original point that treating those kinds of instances with any sort of physical violence is futile and does nothing to help
