I just watched this movie about 10 minutes ago. my opinins are mixed. the speeches are really good, especially the part about his first dmt trip, other then that i think this movie was intended to be more of a movie to view while tripping and it doesn't do that too well. a lot of the images are cheesy and distract you from the speeches. in all i would just download some of his speeches. save the money

I also have the DVD.

I had listened to the speeches and music themselves before and loved them, but wanted to see the cool visual aspects.

The visuals really aren't that great.  Some are pretty outdated, pixelated, poor quality, etc.  Some of it is cool, but like Trip said, the visuals aren't that great and are really just more of a distraction.  I'd recommend buying the CD instead of the DVD.  If you wanted to watch the DVD tripping, just listen to the CD tripping and close your eyes, and the visuals you'll see will be better than the DVDs. :smile:

Yeah, I love listening to the Alien Dreamtime audio when I'm peaking. I really dig it when he goes into the speech patterns of the DMT elves. And they talked like this *ensue gibberish* lol

Can anyone who has seen this tell if there is actually much footage from the event? I really don't give a shit about the dated psychedelic visuals. What I'm interested in is getting a better idea of what the whole event was like. I want to see all of the artists on stage and see the crowd...see where the visuals were being projected on the wall. Does the dvd seem more interested in displaying the trippy visuals of Rose X which you guys are complaining about, or instead be mainly about documenting the rave and adding eye candy with the psychedelic visuals?

It's all about visuals. You see Terrence for maybe 5 mins tops. The rest is visual stuff.

Has anyone seen Mckenna's other dvd 'Strange Attractor'? It has visuals by the same group, Rose X, but is supposedly a narrative, so maybe it won't be too filled with these visuals.
