I realize this is a little off-topic, but this was done in S&P and OTD already, and I thought it might be fun for this forum too. Alex123: He was looking for WMD's, but there weren't any to be found. luvdemshrooms: It was the best of bad choices. mushmaster: No one forced the chicken to cross the road. He did so by his own decision, and will have to face the consequences of his own actions. Innvertigo: To get that bastard Saddam. Malachi: He was escaping the oppression of white culture. Baby Hitler: To join Operation Liberty Bong. Rono: Because he was trying to get the hell out of America. Learyfan: That chicken would lock you up and throw away the key if he got the chance. *insert anti-WOD picture here* Edame: It didn't 'cross' the road, it unilaterally invaded the other side of the street!! In defiance of the UN!! pinksharkmark: Because the government had initiated force against him. afoaf: It's all part of the 9/11 conspiracy. RandalFlagg: To cross the border illegally and drain the economy. carbonhoots: He was sick of the capitalist excess on his side of the road. Autonomous: Because the government was trying to take away his freedom. mntlfngrs: To protect his right to bear arms. Mr Mushrooms: It was Klinton's fault. Evolving: Because it is his right as a chicken to cross that road. silversoul7: He didn't. Social and economic conditions prevented him from moving the other side of the road where all the nice houses were.

-------------------- The above is an extract from my fictional novel, "The random postings of Edame". In the beginning was the word. And man could not handle the word, and the hearing of the word, and he asked God to take away his ears so that he might live in peace without having to hear words which might upset his equinamity or corrupt the unblemished purity of his conscience. And God, hearing this desperate plea from His creation, wrinkled His mighty brow for a moment and then leaned down toward man, beckoning that he should come close so as to hear all that was about to be revealed to him. "Fuck you," He whispered, and frowned upon the pathetic supplicant before retreating to His heavens.

-------------------- To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.' Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence. Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

RandalFlagg: To cross the border illegally and drain the economy.
This epidemic of chickens coming to this country and getting on welfare and sending their chicks to our schools must stop!
