Yesterday I called a cab company to get a pickup at 11:30am, I gave them my address and phone number and everything.

11:30 rolls around and nothing. I call the company, THEY HAVNT EVEN HEARD OF ME!!

So I tell them to send another cab, this woman comes at noon and I'm already fucking livid. I get a phone call from some dude thats like "Hey, I have a pickup for blady blah address for right now" which wasn't even remotely close to my address either in location or name or number. So I scream at that motherfucker until he hangs up on me.

Well I tell this bitch that picks me up to drive like the wind and she did, we get to the train station and I give her half her fare and say "You tell your fucking dispatch if they want the rest they can come fucking find me."

Thanks to wild terrorists roaming the countryside there are two security guards outside of the station, one of them with a fucking assault rifle, and hes like "Oh no you're not, you're not going anywhere until you pay her the rest." I had like 8 minutes till my train arrived so I just said "ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!" and just paid it to move things along. Then to be an asshole he was like "If you have a complaint you can call the number on the cab" and I said "Yeah, I'll do that" and he was like "Have a nice day."

I've never come so close to just going fucking apeshit and destroying a random sign or punching out windows in my life, jesus fucking christ I'm still furious

I would have just walked away. Like sorry but if a service has shitty service, then that sucks. You are going to have to deal with people that they screwed over and therefore lose out on money. I would have done the same thing. If you want to be paid in full then do a better job

And what was the guy with the assault weapon going to do? Shoot you? I would have walked around him and been on my way. He can pay the fare if he feels it's so necessary

Use Uber. It's cheaper and better service than cabs

First off, not all cities have Uber.
Second, no he doesn't need to shoot, and you can't just walk around him, he is the train station security.
Attempting to walk around him when he isn't letting you through would be considered trespassing.
Third, not paying the full fare is considered theft of services.

Your suggestion would have broken two laws and no one would be on your side.

You have to pay cab fare in full regardless of service, unless maybe the driver actually did something wrong, which in this case she didn't.
Dispatch fucked up, not the driver.
The right course of action would have been to file a complaint.

Your treatment wasn't that bad... You got where you were trying to be on time in the end. Why are you so hung up on this?
I ended up having to drive to a bar (and back later) on new years eve while on molly. I wasn't anywhere near as mad you are.
Sounds like it all worked out in the end for you. Take a chill pill, just forget about it at this point.

yah if the dispatch fucked up and you were that pissed, why did u get in the cab when it arrived, rather than just walking or rolling down hills?  The second u got in the cab you were agreeing to the terms of service.

that said if you have to wait really long unexpectedly for a cab, there should be some form of compensation, like if they don't come in 30mins or less you get a free blowjob

not to mention we have no clue where he lives thus have no clue the laws. The concept of having guards with rifles just chillen in public places is pretty new to me in America, they just bust into your house with them at night to arrest those evil drug users

Pretty much this. People just don't understand their rights. Security guards are not cops. They have no real authority over anything. Especially in a public place while it's open

Like if you have shitty service like that, then that sucks, but I'll pay you what I think you deserve. Like what are they gonna do at that point? Run me over? I'd love to see them try. Maybe they should make sure whoever takes calls does a better job. It's really their fault. If your company has shitty employees, that's the kind of stuff that happens
