Im a first time grower need help...

I want to know what the success rate is for the first time growers...Im a little curious because I get told a lot of different things.

Another thing is, I havent really started and would like some tips from some of you experts out there..

Success rate depends alo on you..read the FAQ'S and take the advice of the comments to come from the compent experimenters and you will do well.

People tend to help more if you have a specific question about growing... don't be disparaged if you don't get many tips.

As for success rate... that is hard to say. Many if not most lose at least a few jars, cakes or casings their first time out. Save some spores so if you fail, you don't need to order again.

If you get spores from a Shroomery sponser, they will be good, so if something goes wrong, it will probably be your fault. Still vendors tend to guarantee their products. The trick is figuring out what you messed up and and fixing the problem.

my fisrt time ended in complete falure. sad really. it was long before everyone had the world at there finger tips. only came down to a humidity issue, gash darn that memory pisses me off. stick with the original mmgg and you will do better then most!

My first grow ended in a freak Lysol accident. There is such thing as being too sterile.

My first time worked great! Got about 4/5 grams dry per PF cake..

On my first grow I lost 2 out of 12 jars to contams, and looking back I realize how little attention I payed to sterility. Every little bit helps, when you're dealing with mushrooms act like a hypochondriac... EVERYTHING MUST BE CLEAN!!! Read the FAQs and above all don't give up if you mess it up on your first grow, these teks get easier and easier each time you do them.

my first grow many years ago was successful, the secon failed because I didnt follow the information I knew to work, I was experimenting before it was wise to do so... read the FAQ's regardind what you wish to do and adhear to it closely, after you have several grows under your belt try using different ideas and techniques

*edit* always follow proper clean and sterilization procedures for the substrates you are using
