Yeah that first cake is doing great ^_^ theyre coming on great :smile: i think some veils are breaking on mine im not sure i gonna take a pic soon and ask should i pick any yet :lol:

Well. they didn't get that big but the veils starting tearing yesterday. I picked a few of them this morning, still growing some.

They didn't produce much, but I'm still happy I grew something at least!



And I did attempt to take that out in one cluster, they just ended up getting split apart as taken off the cake.

Ah nice work ^_^ mine broke veil this am too, i got 37 grams, mine were all pretty short, but enough for a trip all being well, theyre in oven lowest setting fan on full while get them dried.

Got two gt cakes so im Hopeful theyll do well, this cake is now being dunked again til tomorrow :laugh:

Great fun isnt it :laugh: roll on Sunday :nyan:

My monotub is starting its first flush today.

My first flush from the three cakes that did produce only ended up being 6grams dry, but it was a decent quantity of shrooms because of how small they were.
Well, I had some friends over who I've shroomed with a few times before, and we spontaneously decided to split the 6g's between the three of us. As my scale was acting up at the moment, we eyeballed it into three separate piles.
Ate them, made some blueberry pancakes, and barely got through my first pancake before they started to kick in. We realized that our plan to run to Walmart real quick was out of the picture within the next few minutes.
This was low to average compared to our normal dosage, and I've never had as good as a trip as I did last night. I was on a empty stomach before hand, they were not. I couldn't hold it in much longer after eating and ended up puking, which was a first for me.
My buddy who usually gets sick on shrooms didn't end up getting sick though.
Overall, trip was great, lasted a while, look forward to trying a bigger dosage of these but that was a good portion.

Back to the point, here's some pics.

Nice. I dunked my cakes again this weekend. They couldn't use much of a roll, so I added some verm on top. Starting their second flush pins now. How are yours doing?

And why do these look like two completely different varieties of shrroms? One even has a point cap, and the dark ones do not.

Just start cloning asap you won't regret it. Try to clone your best fruits for more even promising results.

and I would get into bulk if your going to be putting much time into this as well

Oh I will. I've read that thread, and many more related to prepare myself.

So, Just noticed this on my cakes. Two of them have it definite on the outside. the other cakes I can't tell if it's blue bruising or green on some parts. should I just toss them all?

Already tossed the first two.

Yeah that's mold for sure toss them for sure. you can harvest the fruits and they will be safe

Cool. I'm pretty sure one doesn't have anything on it, but I'm throwing them all out anyways. Should I go bury them at a good spot? Or is it not worth it cause the mold? I've heard of people burying their contaminated cakes, just not sure under what conditions.
I think this is a consequence of me dunking all the cakes in the same container, including the one the didn't produce anything except for a small abort on the first flush. It was probably contaminated on the inside and spread to all cakes when dunked.

Yeah you can bury them a couple inches down maybe with some verm underneath and on top and then a thin layer of soil and it they could very likely still produce.

The mold will be slowed in outdoor conditions and the my will usually put out 1 last flush, sometimes more.

I have also heard of people not buring at all just making a pile of contammed sub covered in a thin casing with success.

Try not to let too many mold spores be released in your house and make sure after dealing with contam like this to change your clothes and wash your hands.

Sweet, I'll find a place for them today. I put them all in a sealed container together washing my hands with %70 alc them I sprayed down the FC with alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. Will bake the perlite to sanitize and clean the FC again before use. I tried to handle them minimally, had them out the longest for the picture.

Just a rinse of the perlite should be fine but baking won't hurt. Wash the chamber with soap and water and  you should be fine.

i will be dumping mine.. i have heard you can just wash then backe it and itll be fine, but i dont trust it.. it's not that expensive.

I was half tempted just to throw it out, it is cheap.
I was just going about that method because that's how I've heard the majority of people do it.
I probably will end up dumping it though, still have some more.

I don't see why baking is pretty easy and definitely kills mold if above 200 degrees even less I think 150 but maybe you guys are right it is pretty cheap

I never saw a problem from just rinsing out the perlite.... Maybe line it with a tub with no holes and give it a soapy bath and agitate it a little. The spores should rinse out easily then. OR just bake it. Any spores that are left is so minute it should effect anything IMO

My little loner of a second flush. I swear that there wasn't a single caps/step/mushy visible last night and then bamn, first thing this morning this guy is there. He would make good a good cap printer..
I didn't realize when I started to pull him that his stem sprouted from the very bottom of the sub. I added the liner for the 2nd flush, it wasn't there on the 1st.
