starting grow this week...questions

ok well i was wondering if it would be better to mix up the right amounts of brf and verm and save it for later if i cant use it, or to mix it up and go ahead and put into jars and save for later? i wont be able to maintain a big grow any time this summer, so id like to do 1 or 2 jars, and save the rest of the jars for later. is this a good idea?

You can do that, just make sure that they are sterilized really well.

I would suggest putting the jars in a zip-lock bag if you want to keep them in the fridge or in plain air for a long time. Try putting a few sprays of lysol in the ziplock before you put the jar in, that will inhibit any contams from livin in the zip-lock!

Yeah, I'd go ahead and sterilize all that you have at the same time, then what ever jars you don't use this time, do what Fd said and put 'em in a bag with some lysol. I do the same thing with rye. I'll spend a whole night sterilizing rye for the week, I'll inoculate a few and save the rest for later on in the week, the next week, or whenever. That way you can just up and decide to use 'em whenever you're ready.
