I'm misting/spraying mostly just on a little extra layer of vermiculate on top of the cakes, and trying to avoid too much direct spray on the shrooms themselves. Sound legit?

The shrooms seem to lean out for the light, growing in its direction. Perhaps I should put one overhead. Can I move the cakes with a spatula to space them better, and maybe rotate them around so the "back side" gets more light?

Also, this chamber seems to be working okay. I'll definitely put a larger SGFC into use for the next grow. But do you agree that this temp/humidity/FAE seems to be adequate for this one?

Explosive growth! (But it might be even better...)

Woot!!! Looking great man.

Shrooms usually grow long to search for air (not light) if anything I'd increase FAE and maybe mist a little more, but these guys look healthy.

A quick update. The first flush for the 4 cakes that fruited together was about 9.4g dried. Close to expected yield? I've been misting and fanning more frequently.

Here's a shot of the second flush. I put the cakes in the FC again 6 days ago:



The middle one is that 5th cake, the late bloomer, still in its first flush.

Oh yea man, you'll yield will probably go up with a SGFC but that is a great yield for a first grow, congrats!
