Who bothers brushing they're teeth?

I mean is there even any peer reviewed double blind multiple tested and studied scientific journals that actually prove, and document the difference in a person's teeth comparing a brusher and a non brusher, that ISN"T referencing people from 2 million decades ago inwhich they had poor nutrition ontop of most likely cracking nuts with their teeth and other habits of the time that would flaw such comparisons with the delicate butterflys of todays standards?????????


Im just saying, sometimes when im brushing, or about to brush, i just think to myself, god damit NOT AGAIN, NOT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone else get that feeling sometimes?

So then i start thinking, how the fuck do these 60 year olds manage to keep doing it?  When they pull out that toothbrush and look at it, they must seriously be considering hulk smashing things

you ask some really dumb fucking questions

why would archeological information be in any way relevant when dentists from around the world can easily document the correlation between hygiene, habits, and the health of their teeth on a patient by patient basis? some dentists go to foreign countries to do charity work and spend the whole time pulling teeth. you think that's because they get shittier toothpaste?

I'm 23 and have never been an avid 'brusher'. Ive also never had a cavity

in highschool i'd brush for about 60 seconds every morning. after that, it was pretty much once every other day. i still brush every other day for about 2 minutes


Still no cavities, but my teeth are very sensitive to cold foods like ice cream

I do once a day.
Flossing is important too, unless you like stinky breath n shit.
Edit:I wish I didn't have to though. That would be nice.
Same with clipping my nails I wish I didn't have to. Not that it's hard I just like to be lazy.

i think alot more people smoked, drank much more coffee since coffee was a staple for a very long time before soda ever became popular which is hard on teeth but not nearly as bad as coffee, people also chewed tabacco more, ect ect

so my point is, with changes in culture, have there been any studies to show how bad a persons teeth actually get without brushing, in todays culture.  and another interesting comparison would be how well just mouth wash would do, or mouth wash with flossing.

the gums seem fine too me.

my main dental concern is that i have yellowish teeth.

Its kind of funny how pure white are preferable even if they are filled with cavities and fillings, but yellow teeth with no cavities or fillings is considered disgusting

Processed sugars attract certain bacteria in the mouth. These bacteria product toxins that decay the teeth. It's not the sugar that decays teeth, it's the toxins made by the live bacteria that feed on the sugar in your mouth. Brush your teeth, it's not that hard.

Brushing for a few minutes twice a day shouldnt be a big deal. I dont want to be on the receiving end of a conversation with someone who doesnt brush

Dude you should definitely brush your teeth (and floss). Have you ever seen a dog's teeth that never get brushed? It looks like barnacles grow on the sides of them. (some nasty food buildup that solidifies)

not brushing your teeth every single day can cause bad breath for some people, especially if they have a taste for sugar. but halitosis in general isn't just an issue of not brushing. There are alot of people who can brush their teeth and mouth 4 times a day and still have nasty breath


believe it or not there are people in third world countries who have basically been cleaning their teeth out with sticks their entire lives and still have a full set

I haven't brushed my teeth in about the last 10 years.

Because that's how long ago I got them all removed due to the extensive rotting they had from NOT brushing my teeth when I was a kid. My grandparents didn't think it was important, and as such, never taught me it was important. By the time I found out it was important, they were already pretty much gone. Take care of your teeth, I can't begin to tell you how much I regret letting them get to that state.
