If your saying you are going to put perlite in the bottom of the container you are casing in, do not do that, it will lead to contam. Just crumble your shit in the bottom and put a 1/4 of the depth casing on top

Not true.

A friend of mine bought a Mexican mushroom kit whilst in Amsterdam that was comprised of cased grain with a bottom layer of perlite.

Gave some pretty good flushes.
