pins on an uncolonized cake?
    #2249207 - 01/17/04 06:56 PM (20 years, 3 months ago)

I have about 7 1 pint cakes that are incubating... without means of an incubator. I looked today and noticed that one of my jars is about an eigth short of being fully colonized. But when I turned the jar around I noticed that there are 4 or 5 pins which have actually started to grow into mushies. I also noticed that there is no water in the bottom of the jar. By that I mean I don't notice any condensation on the glass or anything. Is it normal for pins to show up before the cake is fully colonized? What should I do about this? I wish I had a pic but I don't have a DC. I appreciate any advise.

not sure what you should do now, but in the future avoid light in your incubator that isnt actually an incubater

you dont wanna eat that much verm trust me it sucks when its on the end of the stem never mind a whole cake. And I wouldnt make a tea out of it for one the heat will hurt the potency and you are drinking all that verm. I personally wouldnt do it its not worth it to me. But if you do eat it or what not I would put the cake in water or something and a few marbles and agatate the fuck out of it really really really really good and then strain it through a coffe filter or something simmilar so you strain out all that verm. Thats my 2 cents

heat depleats pcilocin so yes it does hurt the potency and pcilocin is more potent than the pcilocybin trust me. How do you make a tea without heat? thats what tea is and heat destores some of the actives. Like simple said fruit it but I would scap off the uncolinized part

crumbling it will cause it to heal which takes nutrients to do so and since you dont have a full cake I would not do a crumble and case anyway its one cake what kind of casing are you going to do with one cake

I once had some spawn that was crumbled so fine I thought for some reason it would contam. So I put it into a pot, covered it with water. Then I heated it slowly until the warm just started to bubble. Then I poured it through a strainer into a bowl and drank. I tripped pretty hard off of 1.5 pints of PFtek spawn.

you cant do it in the winter but in the summer get a cake or whatever you have left, and leave it outside in a section where theres some bright sunlight, throw a little tea bag or two in there and wait a few hours, by then it should be warm and you will have psilosun tea. ive only done it once b4, let it sit 6 hours and it was damn good!
