An example of "self-aggrandizement"
    #22486801 -

Hello. I am wondering about this word "self-aggrandizement", which I do not quite grasp. I think I will provide an example of this word, and then you guys can tell me if I am right or not.

My example is this: a while ago on this other board, me and a poster were talking about relationships in general. The topic kind of drifted, and he made a post about himself in terms of romantic suitability, and he said this: "you will love me and you will hate me".

At that time I thought this was pretty egotistical. But now I think about it more, I think it was also a bit self-aggrandizing. Can you guys tell me if I am right? Thanks.
