Soup is so good, like for real. Peasant food ftw.

I love almost every type of soup, especially bisques and chowders. Anything with seafood especially.

Soup and bread, some say its peasant food but I say its a damn good time.

Another vote for 'snert' - it's one of the few things I kind of miss sometimes since I stopped eating meat, but fortunately, it can be made very similar to the real thing without meat. Proper snert involves bacon (cooked as part of the soup, not fried), pork foot (idem) and 'rookworst' (smoked sausage; a fine-textured sausage with a very thin skin) that is sliced over or into the soup when it's done (don't cook the sausage as part of the soup).

Btw, a major improvement to taste and texture is to use frozen peas (or even fresh ones, but let's stay realistic) instead of dried split peas.

And while we're at it: lentil soup in any of its incarnations! Pulses are great for soups.

I love a nettle soup in the spring. Lots of garlic white pepper, mixed herbs, diced potato some cut finer, used as a thickener and whatever veg you have on hand to add.
I can just feel it doing me good.

i don't drink soup due to the risk i take that i may spill some on my pants...its a blessing and a curse but a burden i must live with.

Favorite is probably carrot ginger soup but I like also broccoli cheddar, most lentil soups and beef & mushroom stew (close enough).

I make a delicious soup with Clitoocybe nuda mushrooms when I can find enough, they're in season now so that's cool.

I bought a ton of canned soup yesterday, vegetable rosemary, it's really good.

I really like split pea, but with no ham.  Don't get me wrong the ham is amazing in it, but I don't try to eat a ton of meat.

There's a split pea which is good for muscle recovery, like to eat it after I run because it has like 17grms of protein, so fills me up.

Yeah, soups are good.
