Chocolate Soup

So... Last night, my roommate and I both had an intense craving for some chocolate, but we didn't have anything chocolate around the house, or any way of going to buy something chocolate.
After a while of searching the cupboards, though, I happened across a really old box of chocolate cake mix. The only problem was that we didn't have any icing for the cake, and our oven is currently broken anyway.
However, when my stoned brain was confronted with this problem, it immediately developed the best solution ever...
"Let's just make the batter and eat it!" I said. "It'll be like chocolate soup!"
Let me just say that "chocolate soup" is the best thing I've ever had!!!
We're going to serve it as a delicacy at our next party! You guys have to give it a try!

that's an old wives tale... well, actually, a long, long time ago it was definatly dangerous to eat raw eggs... but now with all of our regulations for cleansiness and the advent of refrideration and such it's ok to eat them raw. well, there's a VERY minute chance you could get sick from eating a raw egg, just a chance you take with eating anything from the produce or deli section of a grocery store.
I think nowadays women just tell their kids and husbands that to keep em out of the cookie dough and cake batter while they're trying to cook.

sounds awesome! i tried to look up health info on eating raw eggs (cuz I also always thought that was bad) and i came up with contradictory results from seemingly qualified sources.
one place says only one in 30,000 eggs are infected, another said one in 450 (a huge difference!). of course the former was an american site, and the latter a brit (so that could possibly be the difference)

Well im not sure about the raw egg containing salminella(sp?),but i do kno raw chicken can be reallly bad for you.Salminella is a bacteria chickens and other birds and reptiles produce to help aid in the digestive process mostly all raw chicken contains salminell now its not nessiceraly going to affet always effect you but theres a large chance it will.I dunno mabey im wrong(pretty sure im right but i dunno). But just to be on the sfae side id never eat raw chicken thats why they tell you to wear glove when handiling it,to wash the area u used to prepare it very well and to never prepare vegies and such on the sme cutting board and what not. But as for eggs ive known people whove eaten them before and have eatent thing that have had raw eggs in them before and i and everyone else ahve never gotten sick.
peace, glimmi

I don't think so.
First Salmonella isn't normally present in any farm animals. Second I don't think Salmonella is even a bacteria. I think it's a protizoa.

On a side note really old cake mix tends to have insects in it.
