Curry lentil soup.

In oregon we have a organic store (like a safeway, but much healthier), called New seasons.

And there they have bulk dried Curry lentil soup that is the bomb diggity. Sauteed some green peppers and garlic and threw it in. Along with some punjabi spices.

It's interesting how healthier eating and psychedelics seem to be so intertwined; often when stoned healthy foods actually taste better than fattening ones do. Although the new awareness has made me eat a lot healthier I haven't had the money (college student) to go completely organic.

Oh, they are definitely intertwined. When your "self" is shown to you in such a fresh new light on a psychedelic ,for me at least it made me want to do so many things differently, and more healthily.

I do not always eat organic, but I def stay away from preserves and corn syrup, and crappy food colorings.

That's true. I've been vegan for 14 years and extremely health conscious. Entheogens had a lot to do with that.

And damn, some good curry lentil soup sounds so good right now! Might have to run down to Cafe India for dinner now. :drooling:

Psychedelics definately made me change my eating habits too. When I was younger I ate very very poorly, high in prtty much everything you don't want (sugar, fried foods, ect.) and low in veggies and most healthy things. Tripping made me think more about what I was eating and made me be wary of what food I put in it. I work at a restaurant so i'm constantly tempted by delicious but seriously unhealthy foods. In the past two years I stopped drinking soda and try to only eat red meat once week and eat a huge variety of veggies and fruit everyday. It really makes you feel a lot better about yourself too.

Also that soup does sound pretty fucking good.

Punjabi is an adjectival form of Punjab, which is the name of a state in both India and Pakistan

one really good one is :

The composition of garam masala differs regionally, with wide variety across India. Some common ingredients are black & white peppercorns, cloves, bay leaves, long pepper (also known as pippali), black cumin (known as shahi jeera), cumin seeds, cinnamon; black, brown, & green cardamom, nutmeg, mace, star anise and coriander seeds. Varying combinations of these and other spices are used in regional variants of garam masala,[1] none of which is considered more authentic than another.[2]

The specific one I used is:

Coriander,Ginger, Cumin, salt, cardamom, clove, fenugreek, garlic, bay, onion, pepper, chilli, paprika.

I really did have to go to cafe india after reading this post. Just got back. We hit up the vegetarian buffet with mad curry and too much naan.

I'm so fuckin stuffed right now, time for some serious hash smoking!
