Music in the good old days

#2233359 - 01/10/04 04:23 PM (22 years, 9 months ago)

Lets start with Lead guitar players, I'm not looking for a top ten list or anything like that. Lets not talk about Jerry cause he was more of a gift from god than a guitar player! Lets not talk about Hendrix or Clapton either, I love them both but,

who were the guys that made you happy, played fun music, party music!

I'll give a few examples of the lead guitar players that I loved.

From "Ten Years After" ...Alvin Lee....my god was he fast and great!

From "Quicksilver Messenger Service" .....John Cipollina...what an under-rated musician!

From " The J Giles Band"....Jerome Geils....So much fun! Great party music!

From "The Band" ...Robbie Robertson...nuf said!

...such great songs!

just a few more ....Richard Betts, Toy Caldwell, Duane Allman, Steve Howe,

these guys made my early trips very special!

much love my brothers and sisters!
Later we'll talk about specific songs and other musicians!

Shine On...Keep on shining!

The bus came by and I got on that's when it all began!
