There are two pint units: the "US liquid pint" which is 0.4731765 liter and the "US dry pint" which is 1.101221 liter and this is the same as the "US dry quart". The jars used in the PF-tek contain app. 0.25 liter which app. equals to 1/2 "US liquid pint".

aren't canning jars based on liquid measurement? an oz. of weed is based on dry not liquid right?.......i think wearever you live canning jars are based on liquid capacity not dry volume capacity right? so a 1/2 pint in london is the same as 1/2 pint in the u.s. right? I always thought that anything holding a liquid was in liquid measurement....................if not.......i have to cut back on my beer intake...........4-5 pounds of beer in a night sounds like too much!------------------ Along the way.......take time to eat the shrooms!

You?re mixing some things up: A pint(liquid or dry), quart, liter are units for volume. An ounce, gram, pound, stone are units for weight. It doesn?t matter, if the things you meassure are wet or dry(as you suggest), it matters what you want to meassure. For further information consult the Unit Converter.

Well, on my measuring cup thing it says:1 pint = 500 ml 1/2 pint = 250 ml So therefore, 1 quart would equal 1 Litre. -snarf

Im not mixing things up........dube( )asked if a pint (euro) was the same as a pint U.S........i replied YES........a 1/2 pint mason jar in the foothills of south dakota holds the same amount of water as a 1/2 pint mason jar in pakastan! im not comparing a litre to a gallon........1/2 pint=1/2 pint! Leroy buys a 40 in detroit...........hops on a plane to the land down under............he's still drinking a 40....when he lands right? (if he drinks reaaaaallll slow!) I wasn't comparing a oz. of weed to a pint!...........ARE YOU A TEACHER?------------------ Along the way.......take time to eat the shrooms!

No, God beware! But you?re wrong! One pint doesn?t allways equal one pint! The source I stated above says that there are 2 different amounts of volume that are called a pint. Sorted has another(that is wrong) and snarf has an inaccurate one. So, as you see a pint is not a pint.------------------ It?s easy to do without silver and gold or even pleasures of love but its hard to do without mushrooms. Marcus Valerius Martialis Roman poet
