sorry bout all the questions...i'm doing abunch of shit today with my babies.... 2 quesitons...

1-does innoculating 5 instead of 4 sites into the jar make a difference sicne i'm dealing with twice the amount of substrate?

2) would injecting within the center of the jar be a good thing? maybe 4 on the outside and 1 in the middle. my ultimate scheme is using the correct amount of apore solution without using too much or too little, since i'm doing pints this time around. thanks for your help!

ok ill let you know a little something i had to learn the hard way, every time you insert the damn needle you up your chances for contams.

kramer says to make sure the spore solution runs all the way down the jar almost or all the way to the bottom or you could be waiting till next year for full colonization :shocked:

I agree with kramer.  More in each is far better than 1 additional spot.  But I did make a 1 day difference by injecting 9 places with 1cc each.  I'd say that's not really worth it, though.  1cc per site I can easily support, though, if you want to use that much. :wink:

i'm not worried about contams...i'm talking about the amount of solution to use and the efficiency from where it's inoculated

Definitely go with a liquid myc solution if you are using pint jars, the colonization time is SOOO much faster.

My first grow I used pint jars with spores and they took 4EVER to colonize, lost most of them to contams after a month of colonizing.

I inoculated a noodle/millet pint jar with 5ml of liquid EQ and the myc exploded after a few days, almost totally colonized in just over a week.

i've heard about liquid myc. where can i find a way to do it...for some reason my searches on this site don't fare well
