I'm having a little trouble with my webserver so i can only upload these to the shroomery server (400k today)...More pics to follow of course 
Lophophora williamsii seedlings, 4 months old.
Trichocereus peruvianus, 4 months old seedlings.
Trichocereus pachanoi seedling grafted to Pereskiopsis 4 months ago.
and the last for today.....
A decapitated grafted Lophophora now sprouting many new buttons.

Wow, Una! Absolutely beautifull!!! They are all very healhty looking. Congrats!
How did you manage to get the lopho's that big after 4 months? Mine are much smaller after 4 months.
I can't wait to see the next pics. Thank you for sharing!

They grow so fast because i give them 24 hours/day light. It seems that cacti, which are CAM plants, don't need a dark period at all. This is contrary to what you will find in any textbook.
A biology lesson
Normally CAM (Crassulean Acid Metabolism) plants take up CO2 during the night, when it's cool enough to open their stomata. During the day the CO2, which has been stored in the form of malic acid is used to carry out photosynthesis. This is not a very efficient way of photosynthesis since the capacity to store up CO2 is limited and there is an abundance of sunlight.
Now, under temperate conditions (temperature 20-25oC, plenty of light (no full sun) and plenty of water) the plants will open their stomata during the day making it possible to keep carrying out photosynthesis during the whole day. This makes a dark period unnecessary. Remember this will only work under non-desert conditions!
This will allow you to grow your plants twice as fast as they normally would.
I grow some small cacti year round under simple fluorescent tubes. Growth is phenomenal and will continue all through the winter

Hey UNA,are those little brown things comming up off of the sides of the cacti in the fourth picture buttons?I always wondered what the actual buttons of the peyote were b/c Ive seen the supposid buttons and then Ive seen the supposid buttons turn into flowers,or are the buttons just pre-mature flowers?I know thats confusing and Im sorry...peaceout and have fun!

personally i don't really care about mescaline content of these cacti as i am not planning on eating them. They are way too beautiful for that
My guess is that they will not be very potent until they are older. Peyote normally starts producing alkaloids after 5 years or so and i don't think that grafting them will speed that up. On the other hand there's no reason to assume that grafted peyote, compared to peyote grown on it's own roots and of the same age, contains less alkaloids.
Then again this is all speculation since i do not have five year old grafts and no one to test them (and no.....i am not looking for test persons  ).
I got some question about how i get those peyote seedlings so big in only 4 months so here's what i do.
Soil is 1/3 coco coir 2/3 sand with a little added Marl (coral derived limestone) for the Lophophora. This is heat-treated in the microwave before use (15 min full power on the wetted soil).
Pots (8 cm square) are filled with this mixture and the surface is levelled.
Seeds are sprinkled on top and the pots are sprayed with Thiram (a fungicide) to prevent fungal diseases. The pots are put in a small incubator lit by fluorescent tubes. I use 80 cm tubes (18 watt, color 84/33) about one for every 15 cm (x80cm).
First the seedlings are about 30 cm away but about one months after germinating i move them up a little. After two months i start lowering humidity and after 3 months they are growing outside of the incubator, only a few cemtimeters from the tubes. They are lightly fertilized once establised and it may be necessary to spray with Thiram again.

Sorry i got one more q how long does it take your graphed lophos to root when you take them off the stock plant. Also what kind of fluros bulbs do you use ?
