Nope.  He saw her one time in the hospital after the incident and then bailed.  He wouldn't talk to her or anything.  It was a dude she was dating too.

I swear there needs to be laws EVERYWHERE in place that protects people from getting prosecuted for bringing someone or just going in yourself to get help for overdoses. I am glad we have them here in Colorado, I see lots of people rushing people who take too many drugs to the medics and it didn't used to be like that.

Like you said, every second that passes by without medical care is a second that they are loosing more and more brain cells and really it is gambling with the life of a person.

Did she take all 500mg at once? That is definitely a lot of MDMA at once, and even for one person over the entire course of the night that much can be pretty unsafe

Again, I feel so sorry op. I really feel bad when I hear stuff like this happening. This world needs better education on drugs with proper harm reduction and people shouldn't have to ask questions like "Do I go to jail or do I help them?" when every second counts.


I don't think she took all 500mg at once.  She said throughout the night. But I don't think she had a scale or weighed anything.  She just said it was a half a gram and that she just took what her friend gave her.

The dumb part is that she used to get methylone for a long time and thought it was real molly.  So when she finally found real molly she took 300mg at once like she used to with the methylone and said she blacked out. She even told me "yeah, don't ever take 300mg of real molly" You'd think she would have learned from that experience. I really don't know how it went down though, maybe she didn't know how much her friend was giving her.

500mg of molly (real molly, MDMA) wouldn't kill a normal healthy person


I don't know anything about methylone doses because I don't do it, but there's also the 5-MAPB or whatever and different things too.

Really sorry to hear about that .... is there any chance the family still needs money for funeral costs because maybe donation should be kept open

Id be happy to donate a bit to help out...

I give you my word that this was not a scam.  I figured posting the obituary would've taken care of any doubt but I guess not. Asking for money to pay for your lawyer when you're clearly at fault is dumb.  This was an act of desperation, and I really didn't care who thought it was shady.

Be honest, this could all be a made up story and some guy could be pocketing all the donations.  you don't know.

if were a nigerian scammer or some shit I'd be all over using crowd funding to con people.think about it.  I'd even find an obituary or hospital records of some random person and rhen craft some story. It wouldn't be hard at all

i find it strange and suspicious that two donation threads pop up at the same time on the front page.  Its almost like a pattern.

It's called a coincidence.  I'm not really familiar with the other donation thread but whatever the case is this is a real person who did suffer a stroke and die, you can figure that out with a google search, and the obituary only asks people to donate to a Stroke foundation in her memory.  Nobody is asking for money at this point, so your assertions are really uncalled for.

Do you have any evidence the story is true? Do you realize how easily these threads could be scams? As a moderator you should be more concerned with protecting your members from scams, if I were you I would be investigating this seriously instead of reacting impulsively and emotionally.  Reacting impulsively and emotionally is exactly how you get scammed.  Don't you realize that "being disrespectful" is the perfect way to get random people to defend your scam?  Seriously,  both threads have a goal of $8000 and have similar stories.

my scam radar went off when I saw both threads but the $8000 goal on both made me strongly suspect scam even more.  I'm going to do some searches and see of google is turning up any scam alers like this.  Someone needs to protect your members even if you don't.

Do you have proof he actually knew that person?  What's to stop people from googling obituaries and then setting up funds for people they had no real connection to?  Its such an eady scam its not even funny!

It's a better idea to assume that this did indeed happen and just not donate (maybe even pm the OP and ask them directly in a kind matter) than to risk disrespecting not only someone who is dead but a person that appears to care a lot about them and is mourning.

A funeral isn't enough for you?  The obituary has 17 comments from people giving their names and location.  The fact that you think searching would sink this low when he has given you no reason to think he would do such a thing is what is suspicious here.

Well I was reading the other thread and it sparked my memory to go back and update this thread. But I didn't notice the other thread goal was $8000 also.  That's a weird coincidence, but my story is true so now you look like an asshole.
