Do U find living in your area easy or hard?
    #21932140 - 07/12/15 05:03 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

And why to your answer?

I find it easy since I don't have to go job hunting and I can walk around w/ ease.

Easy as fuck. I live a 5 minute drive from work and my house is right next to a massive park with a lake and shit :awehigh: I should really trip there more often

My biggest problem with my area is the weather. It gets way too hot here. Then the pay is generally really low compared to other places. No live music scene and the people tend to be trashy.

One of the good things is that there is hardly any traffic. I'm also a two minute drive from the ocean and my job. If you want to get drunk there are an unbelievable amount of bars. After that I'm really having trouble coming up with positive things about this area.

I'm planning on moving out of state soon.

yeah i really dig where i live. small town about 45 minutes away from santa barbara and like 30 minutes from ventura.  small, green, secluded town with some interesting cats.  the weather can be kinda weird here though and it does get quite hot.

Pretty easy, I guess. It's the only place I've lived since moving out on my own 3 years ago so I don't have much of a point of reference. Still I've managed to survive with relative ease even for the few months that I was unemployed. I like living here a hell of a lot more than my hometown for sure. I'm in North FL. I'd love to move out West (preferably Oregon) sometime within the next few years but I hear cost of living sucks over there compared to where I'm at.

I used to live in Santa Barbara.  It's an absolutely magical place.  If you live where I think you live, than that place is pretty damn rad too.  Filled with tons of spiritually aware people, and people with fascinating back stories.  I would live there in a heartbeat.

Got me missing Cali now.  Florida blows.

Don't you live in Ft Myers or am I confusing you with another person? I'm from there and it's one of the most boring places I know.

I figured.  I just didn't want to say it.  I loved it there.  I lived in a couple different places in SB, but my favorite was this cute little avocado ranch nestled up in the mountains.  Could watch the sun rise over the ocean from my living room.

I'm not in Ft. Meyers, more South than that.  I just don't feel like florida is my home.  Its to flippin' humid.  Like a marathon runner's ballbag.  Plus, there aren't any mountains here.  True story, the tallest mountain for literally hundreds of miles is a 300ft. high pile of trash that someone put some sod on top of.  Yeah, it's green, but we all know that it's garbage.

nice. i love ojai, it's a really chill area.  lots of crazy people here though

surprised how many people know of this town.  people always ask me where i'm from and i assume they won't know cause it's so small, yet everyone always knows.

As far as finding a half decent job living here is very hard. There are some good people here, but the idiots out way them by a long shot. I don't know if its because I've been here so long and have become jaded but those are the two main things making me want to get out the first chance I get.
Other than that the air quality, landscape, and scenery is unmatched by much else.

Ojai has history.  Plus, its beautiful in the springtime.  I've got tons of pictures from there when I first started getting serious about photography.  Although I can imagine it's pretty brown there right now.  Get any rain yet?  Stupid global warming. lol.
