I have seen several pedophile sympathisers on the Shroomery. What is your opinion on pedophiles and pedophile sympathisers?
How should pedophiles be treated?

Pedofiles usually recycle their history as a vicious cycle because most chesters were Probually molested or traumatized as a kid.

I know a person who touched his niece and his family exiled him - the dude was molested as a kid by his baby sitter , so I think many of these pedofiles have some sort of PtSD . Or Michael Jackson syndrome for having a fucked up childhood.

I don't think Michael,Jackson touched any kids. His life story was depressing

I feel like there's a difference between a pedo and a child molester.

If a pedo doesn't act on his urges or view/spread child pornography then he/she is doing nothing wrong and simply has unfortunate urges that most don't.  If they act on it?  They're a child molester, not a pedophile.  What should they get?  Prison.  Forever.

But why waste the tax money even keeping people like this incarcerated?

Throw them in a furnace and be done with it

I made these 2 topics over the "Young girls" thread and found everyones different, maybe morally wrong, opinion interesting.

Because as a society were better then that. The entire point of the current system is to forgo brutality like that in favour of more civilized punshiments.

I don't personally think diddlers deserve civilized punishment

They simply need to be exterminated

Touching kids is wrong..end of story..I don't care to hear why some people might disagree and neither should you, as long as you ain't fucking kids and your kids aren't being molested, then let the people whose job it is to worry about it,worry about it for us.

Unless you are unsure yourself as to whether its wrong and looking for someone to acknowledge why you aren't a sick and twisted individual, then I don't get why you'd care to hear people's differing opinions on a fucked up subjext.

Yeah.  Canada doesn't even have a death penalty for the most heinous of crimes.

And taking some statistics from some of the euro countries, it seems as though the less horrible the prison system is to its' inmates, the higher the rehabilitation rate.  In the USA almost everyone who has been to prison becomes a repeat offender.  I think it was Switzerland or Sweden where I read that they have almost none.

this thread is kind of a silly premise. either one says something obligatory like "burn em!", or someone says something supportive and get's abjectly ridiculed.

is there even room for nuance in a discussion like this?

girls around a certain age start having sexual feelings. sometimes girls come onto YOU, so what do you do...easy...unless you were really a pedo, that is...the easy answer is give them some courtesy and some understanding and move on, preferably without enacting any sort of fable or conversation, period, involving sex. just be chivalrous.

What if we granted the state that type of power, what if they turned it against other types of crimes and slowly expanded its scope?

go be that executioner. be a hero. make sure you keep a close eye on potential pedo's by smell, look, and style...Hawaiian shirt's are a definite target. be vigilant.

nah, he wants them dead as a doornail. he wants Rambo style search and destroy tactics involved here.

everyone should go on Netflix and watch "The Hunt", to get an idea of what can happen with the mindset of "kill the pedo" or "we're the pedo hunters". people are very frequently killed based on an accusation alone, when they were innocent of any crime.

I think the majority of guys have pedophilic urges, if we are talking about under 18. Ive wanted to fuck a 17 year old before, i think under 16 is where it becomes weird as fuck.

If you are a person who has urges to fuck actual children, i feel sorry for you, assuming you dont actually fuck a child, if you do then rot in hell.
