Re: Some kid on facebook just called me retarded...is he right? [Re: makaveli8x8]

We'll just agree to disagree there. I don't think being gay is a choice, because if it was, I am pretty sure people would rather skip the ridicule, family shaming and lack of acceptance, and years potential psychological issues and just not be gay in the first place.

Still though, you missed the point. Gay people believe they were born that way and it's not a choice. So based on that belief alone, gay people wouldn't force their sexual views onto their own kids just so their kids are more likely to be gay. Because you know... they don't believe being gay is a choice anyway.

I read the whole thread dude. You keep saying the same stuff over and over again in a condescending way. I think that's why everyone is beating a dead horse.

So what about all the people that turned gay when they got older?

Society pressures people into behavior that is in line with heterosexual, cisgender norms. It's called being in the closet and it's terrible.

I didn't start out being condescending. I got bashed and had to bite back.

I explained myself many times in a non-condescending way.

Most scientists agree that it has some basis in the human genome, but just like every personality trait, it is changed based on the environmental factors they face.

But the real thing is, you can talk to 100 gay people, and they all have wildly different backgrounds and experiences. It's not one thing that clearly affects it. Just like any other personality trait people develop from a young age.

no you are 99% wrong, being gay isn't a choice for "some".  MOST it is a choice, it starts with a finger up the butt, too many rejections from women, 2 many sleep overs with giggling happening under the covers as a child, and no parents guiding them away from the perversion.

The environment is what creates most of our character.  You do know what culture is i assume, clearly you can see how different cultures are.  You realize some country's let you marry and have sex with kids?  Some make women cover their face?  Surely its not above culture to create some gays.

Surely if someone was BORN gay they wouldn't be TURNING gay at the deep and penetrating ages of 30....40...50+ years of age.

So because 99% of the world doesn't eat mushrooms that means we shouldn't just because we are outnumbered?

Anything that was relevant that they couldn't argue against or accept has seemed to be ignored.

If you read my statement completely, most scientists agree it's nt only genetic factors but can vary from many environmental factors. It can be from birth through your toddler years. There hasn't been enough actually non biased research to know. Human psychology is already a near mystery. We are only scratching the surface so far.

Most gay people I have met have never liked or even tried to be with a girl. I knew a guy who would say he was bi so he felt less like he was gonna be bullied. Ended up just accepting he was gay

And also, there have been gay people in EVERY culture that has existed in our planet. Some cultures it was looked down upon, others it was just accepted as okay. It's clearly apart of human psychology.

Actually it does mean something, just like the fact the majority of people in the world don't eat mushrooms anymore...

It is certainly more than 2 people though and I would be somewhat surprised if it was not more than 1%.

What do mushrooms have to do with this though? Just becouse the majority of people don't eat mushrooms means that you two defending your argument are right?

its a perverted part of human psychology that should be cleaned from it, instead of embracing the perversion.  alot of 'gay' people are really just sex deprived and taking the easy way out to get their fix, similar to a drug addict, they don't care where it came from or what they had to do to get it.

you admit we know next to nothing about the human psychology yet denie that alot if not most gays are 'made' gay, not born gay?  or am i confusing you with someone else, sorry if i am.

but even i said some gays are born gay, some, as in very few.  Because i believe in evolution, i then too believe that some men will be split closely as a women, i suppose to potentially create a hermaphrodite at some point, or just some really weird mutations from radiation or chemicals in the water.

either way, its a defect that shouldn't be encouraged.  and those we believe they were born gay, like i said some may well have, but we shouldn't be putting it in their heads that all of them are now should we?  You'd be crazy to think they all were.  So because of that poor parenting or society acceptance, we have millions of gays, that made the choice to be gay, but falsely believe they were born that way.....do you not see the harm in that?  If we are supposed to be so accepting of each other then why is it the gays can't accept that they are heterosexual, but just 'different'
