astronomical transitions
    #2185049 -

( from templeton & herrmann, in _the god who would be known_ )(quoting astronomer gerald hawkins' _mindsteps to the cosmos_ )
~
30,000 -40,000 bce (bc): homo sapiens sapiens (cromagnon) cave pictures depict not only earth scenes, but sky as well (primitive man looks up)
8,000 bce: old story from earliest wrtings; tablets dated 2700 bce "gilgamesh" - celestial beings enter myth
150 ce (ad): ptolemy utilizes mathematics to describe the motions of heavenly bodies
1543 ce: copernicus publishes (supressed by church authorities) _de revolutionibus_ which showed that the earth rotates about its axis & revolves around the sun
1926 ce: robert goddard initiates the space age with his launching of the first liquid-fueled rocket
~
mindsteps 6,7,8 should occur (if the graph holds true  ) in 2021, 2045, 2051... and approch exponential growth shortly after that...
(one wonders if this is the omega point, the eschaton, the verticalization of the jumping J phenomenon, the year of the jackpot....)
~
well???

That they are. I'm not familiar with the astronomical transition, but it looks like someone arbitrarily picked astronomical events and then made a best of fit line to describe the timeline, and then projected future dates.
