Venus Transit 6/8

If you don't already know on June 8th Venus will pass between Earth and the Sun for about seven hours. For those of you in North America it won't be visible except on the east coast for an hour after sunrise (just FYI). Don't worry though cause they come in pairs eight years apart and the next one will be June 6 the year of our lord 2012. Anyway, most astrologers believe these transits carry a lot of energy. "Previous cycles show that global communications and a shift in consciousness regarding the scope and nature of the world are all part of these transits." History actually does confirm that something significant has happened between each of the previous Venus transits: 1518 was when the first circumnavigation of the globe by Magellan/del Cano 1624 first national mail services (Denmark & Sweden) 1761 scientists around the world cooperated using the eclipse to calculate the distance from Earth to the Sun 1874 World Postal Union, Transatlantic Telegraph Completed, Bell patents the telephone.....
So now some people are talking this is gonna begin the age of human telepathy but I'm real skeptical about that. What are your thoughts about the transit and whether or not it really does have supernatural powers?

This transit will herald the return of Quetzalcoatl, the god worshipped by the ancient Aztecs. The teonanacatl (magic mushrooms) sprung up from where his blood touched the soil. The mushrooms are the Flesh of the Gods, and all of those who partake during this transit will take on christ-conscioussness. This should be a very important day for us.

Personally, I don't buy it although I respect people who believe it. In recent times there have been a number of planetary alignments and other astronomical phenomena and I haven't noticed any major changes. I suspect these events are retro-fitted to support whatever belief is in vogue.

History actually does confirm that something significant has happened between each of the previous Venus transits The thing is that something significant is ALWAYS happening in history! You could also make the case that the transit is a bad thing: 1518- Algiers fell to the Ottoman Empire. 1624- England declares war on Spain. 1761- A colonial army defeats the Cherokee, destroying 15 villages, ending Cherokee resistance. 1874- Red River War. Kiowa tribe and others fight US govt after it fails to live up to its treaty. I just retro-fitted some military events I found on the internet to fit the timeline.

History actually does confirm that something significant has happened between each of the previous Venus transits:
Misleading statement. History confirms nothing about any such link between a planet's movement and human behavior nor "significant" events.
Here let me list some other transits:
1,000,000 B.C. - Gnarg grunted. 10,000,00 B.C. - A volcano erupted. 100,000,000 B.C. - A plant flowered.

The proof is in the pudding.

Jellric wars are pretty much an ongoing part of human history so it's less impressive to list your wars than my list. MY

I never said that history confirmed a link between a planet's movement and human behavior. I left that up to the reader to decide for themselves. Gnarg Grunted? What's that? At least Jellric's wars example uses significant events.

Please describe what an objective "significant event" is and why the beginnings of speech is not a milestone.

"The thing is that something significant is ALWAYS happening in history" this statement is still just as valid. can you explain how the events you listed are more than ordinary advances that happen every year?
