I think you guys might just have terrible scene for good electronic music.

Bassfreak, you're like a self-loathing raver.

But I do agree with you to an extent on some points.  I don't know if the rave as I knew it exists any more, those might be truly a thing of the past.  But parties still happen every week, and I suspect that at any given event there's a mix of people who are there for the music & a bunch of people just wanting to get fucked up.  I doubt the crowd is ever 100% in either direction and that's how it's always been.

To say that all "raves" have shitty djs is a fallacy.  Any time you have more than a handful of djs in a room together you've probably got some that are good, some that suck, and some in between.

Some techno sucks, but when done right it's amazing.  It's an old genre that will probably never go out of style.

Stop generalizing everything, freak.  There's a lot of grey between the black and white.

in america, this scene is booming. its huge

theres no decent DJs playing some unknown rave thrown by half assed promoters. it just doesnt happen. booking them costs too much since their events are so cheap and honestly, lame as fuck with a bunch of fucking morons who wanna trade kandi and sit in cuddle puddles (what a fucking joke)

i go to shows cuz i wanna see real talent. raves just feature cokehead local DJs who *think* theyre good (lol)

in the US, people go to raves to get fucked up. they dont give a fuck whos playing bc they arent there for the music, if they were there for music they woulda chosen a better SHOW with a headlining DJ. they go to raves cuz theyre cheap and everyone just wants to do drugs and get laid. theyre there for the party aspect, not the music aspect. since these DJs are unknown its quite clear the music is not a make or break situation. like if thats your style then cool but imo thats lame as fuck. ive seen way too many dope sets to waste my time with some shitty local DJ, who is a hack at best


maybe in europe their scene is underground but seriously, who cares? europeans listen to the shittiest electronic music. all this pussy ass techno and trance and house bullshit. what a joke. no one wants to see that kid shit
