Eventually.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers

They have to establish themselves first. They have to have a constitution and leagal system under wich he can be held and tried.

If they really wanted to spite Saddam, they would throw him back to the Iraqis.

Is that what you would do?

I would. Let him be judged by a jury of his peers. Let those who had to live under his regime decide what to do with him.

Me too. I got the impression that Zahid wanted to throw him back without the protection of the law and to be a victim of vigilante justice. He may deserve that but it is now how it should be done.

any crimes he has committed have been against his own people, allow them the chance execute him or place him back into power.

Actualy I think I will change my mind here. It will be hard enougt to get an impartial jury in an internation trail and impossible in Iraq. We as Americans must make sure that he gets a fair trial because that is what we stand for. And given a fair trial with impartial jury, if he is convicted there will (or should not be) any BS lefties crying foul.

I swear to you I won't. That guy's a bastard, and I'd be crying foul if he didn't get convicted of the atrocities he's committed in his country. I would be suspicious, however, if he were to be convicted of building WMD's or causing 9/11.

Then what you're doing in Guantanamo is quite contrary to what you stand for.

I would want to see the evidence for myself if he got convicted of those things.

I'll stick with what I said in the Getmo (Guantanamo) thread.

I know he doesn't deserve any, but for some reason, I kind of feel sorry for him. I'm not getting any satisfaction from his humiliation whatsoever.

Were you in the first gulf war, and/or have you ever been to Iraq?
