Grill 7 chicken breasts on sunday. Everyday make ramen noodles(3 mins) and chop up one chicken breast into cubes and slide it into the broth. Healthy meal, takes 5 minutes to make, delicious.

32 grams of protein in 280 calories is a great meal. If you're worried about sodium get over it. It has carbs, high water cotent, some fat and protein. Great meal for anyone looking to make gains.

Its a ton of saturated fat and sodium with no nutrients or fiber. The only gains you'll make is heart disease.

It's barely any saturated fat, sodium doesn't matter, you get way more from other foods, and duh, that's not what this meal is for. Eat an orange and a banana afterwards, there's all the nutrients you need.

This meal will help you gain weight and muscle.

Heart disease from raman... :ilold:

Then eat a $0.50 banana. Add 5 seconds for peeling. Dinner under $5 made in less than 5 minutes

I like to put bananas in my oatmeal or cereal. If I have PB (especially crunchy) I'll add a spoon or two of that. And honey. So so good.

If you can tolerate canned tuna, I like to saute some garlic and onion, cook the rice with that and at the end add tuna, some mayo, any seasonings you like. It's actually pretty good.

I'll add more as I think of them.

Ya tuna is great. For anyone wanting to try it out get the costco package of albacore cans. Shitty canned tuna is gross but the good stuff is amazing. I usually just mix it with mayo garlic salt and lemon juice and make a sandwich. There is also tuna helper which is cheap and very easy to make.

In that case do your own. Pasta of choice with tuna and add some sort of creamy sauce.

I agree, always albacore!

I'm telling you, try the quesadillas. They're a once a week dinner in our home. So quick to prepare and really no mess to clean up.

Organic hot dogs and buns. No, they are not that expensive. With organic mustard and ketchup.

spaghetti/tacos

I get 5 pound logs of 80/20 ground chuck at walmart for $15. Split up into 2 2lb portions and 1 1lb bag. Cook 3 pounds into meatsauce/taco mix freeze the other 2.  That's dinner for a week for cheap.

Peanut butter and honey on wheat bread is what I usually eat when I'm craving junk food (pretty cheap, about 75 cents each sandwich) plain greek yogurt with honey costs about $1.50 for 8 oz serving if you buy the bigger container.  For lunch I usually make bean/beef burritos with cheesy saffron rice and sriracha  which cost about $1.00-$1.50 each.  I usually eat peanuts and bananas snack foods.  For dinner I can make turkey meat loaf for about $4.00 for 3 servings.  Baked Cajun chicken thighs are really tasty yet cheap.  I usually try not to skimp on dinner but its not hard to make a dinner for 2 people for under $5.00.  Most veggies aren't cheap unless you get crap.  Can be hard to eat enough if you are on a budget.

Homemade cheese pizza. Homemade dough and homemade sauce. About $1.40 per pie (the most expensive part being the cheese) and its better than delivery.

Here's some of the cheap, simple and tasty meals I've been doing for a while now. I eat meat only 2 or 3 nights a week, so not having a piece of meat as the center point of every meal every night makes things a bit cheaper too.....While it takes more than $5 to buy everything to make the meals, each individual plate/meal comes out to $5 or less.

Cheeseburgers....

1LB of Grass fed free-range organic beef, $5.

Loaf of organic bread, $3 to $4.

Cheese, $3

lb of Asparagus, $3

(sometimes I'll add an egg and/or bacon to my burgers, basically add another 50 to 75 cents to the over all cost of each burger/meal)

That's enough for me to eat some large and damn tasty cheese burgers with grilled asparagus on the side 3 nights out of the week, for only $4 to $5 a plate.

--------------------------------------------------

Chicken Stir-fry with rice

1LB chicken breast....$4

1 Bell pepper....50 cents

1 broccoli crown....50 cents to $1

A few small portabella mushrooms.....$1

Some mixed rice....$1

A bottle of terriyaki or stir-fry sauce of your choice....$3 to $5

About three plates can be made from that depending how big your portions are, comes out to around $3 to $4 a plate. Sometimes I'll skip the chicken and add more veggies instead, becomes even cheaper.

-------------------------------------------

quesadilla with egg

A pack or tortillas, $3

A can of re-fried beans, 50 cents to $1

Cheese, $3 to $4

Half dozen free-range organic eggs, $2.50

Lots of 'dillas can be made from that

----------------------------------------------------

Another cheap meal idea....

I'll buy a can of the "Amy's" brand soups ($2 to $3 at most places)

Pour out half the can of soup or less into a pot and saran wrap the can to be put into the fridge.

Then I'll make some lentils and rice of different sorts to add to the half can of soup in the pot, rice and lentils are a great filler and they make the soups even that much more thick & hearty. This way I can get two or three big bowls of soup from one can, very filling, each bowl costing around $1.

I'll usually have some good bread on the side too.

I don't want to read all the above posts so if this has been mentioned just ignore it. Rice-a-roni costs 1$ a box, I always have a tub of margarine because you can spread it cold unlike butter. I like to grill up some meat, dice it and add to rice-a-roni. It costs less than $5 and will feed two. All you need is meat, butter/margarine, rice-a-roni and water. you don't have to use all the meat, can save some for the next night. It helps if you have a freezer/ deep freezer and get the meat on sale (close to expiration).

Edit: I forgot to mention, go to a buffet with a couple of people (need a girl with a large purse) and bring ziplock bags/containers. Go in when its real busy and fill the bags with as much food as you can hide in the purse, or enough for 5-7 days. If you get too much it will go bad. Be discreet, don't let the employees see you bagging the food under the table. I like Chinese buffets.

bisquick and roll of sausage.

Make biscuits out of the bisquick and then cook sausage then add a bit of milk and flour to make bad ass gravy.  We do this often.  Nothing better than biscuits and sausage gravy with a side of sausage.

This might cost like 7 dollars....
