I feel like I have gained a lot from my friendship with some ethiopians

I met some Ethiopians at work and became friends with them and it has been interesting getting to know some people from such a different cultural background. They are from Ethiopia, which I believe is somewhere in Africa. In getting to know them I have noticed they have different mindset when compared with the sort of folks I am used to being to being around. They seem to be a more simple folk, happier and more full of life than most of the folk i know.

When I am around them, I feel more like how I felt with the friendships i experienced as a child, very free to be who I am without the fear of judgement. When they look at me, I feel they are looking with genuine curiosity at a specimen which appear very strange to them. Today I overheard them speaking to each other about me (one of them was going to be alone working alone with me for the firt time) in Ethiopian and even though I don't speak Ethiopian I believe my intuitive abilities helped me to understand what was said. The gist of it was " He is wonderful but he is not always quite sure of what he is doing, so keep an eye on him".

I feel like I am regarded as very strange by the Ethiopians, but it is ok because we are both in touch with that child like part of us that just accepts others as they are no matter how strange or impossible to figure out they might seem.

I believe there is a lot to be learned from different cultures. My time on shroomery changed me as a person, in a positive way, except for spending too much time on reading about drugs.
