Assuming the jars would have been sterlized if tin foil had been used instead of saran wrap, then yes, they're probably sterilized. All the outside tin foil covering is for is keeping water out. I suppose you could used anything else that's waterproof. The saran wrap didn't melt?
Also, even if water had gotten in, the jars would still be sterilized. You would have a really soggy mess inside them however and they'd kinda be useless for mushies.

The jars are fine. Why don't you use tin foil though?? Please don't tell me that you didn't have any tin foil, because this would show that you were not prepared and should not have started. Tin foil is much more riggid and will keep its shape much better than syran wrap will. I'm not trying to razz ya, but, next time try to use tin foil.

Well my friend did have tin foil he checked before he started however he only had enough for 4 of the 12 Jars he was sterelizing. :smile: So he had to improvise and use saran wrap to cover the rest and no the wrap didn't melt (cool huh)
