kinda dumb casing question

so my ex had some cakes in the terrarium and one looked like it maybe wasn't doin so good, so she she decided to try casing it just for the hell of it. She's never cased b4, but wanted to get the feel of it since she's planning on casing some next time out. she used damp verm on the bottom and a layer of 50/50 (roughly) cocofiber/verm on the top, covered in Saran Wrap? and tucked away in the closet. Here's the question: to "patch" the mycelium that starts poking up, can she just use straight verm, or does she need to patch with the coco/verm mix. Just wondering cause she practically needed a jackhammer to break a chunk off the gro-brick, and doesn't wanna have to do that every time she patches. Thanks for your help.

if youre going to patch, damp verm is very good. use about 50mL water per cup of verm

dont use no hammer... slice it with a knife....

He somehow manages to breathe in his sepia, wounded-tea, liquid ambiance suspension.
