Early Primordia forming on agar slant (pic)

inoculated some agar slants with Pleurotus pulmonaris about a week ago. One of them formed primordias even before having grown out the slant. Is that normal ?

It can depending can. It is more of a struggle to keep them from fruiting then to get them to fruit....

Yes, that is quite normal. You have to keep them in dark to prevent that. Now that they're fruiting it's better that you transfer mycellium to fresh slants as soon as possible.
