PAID and abuse of power.

now i know us in OTD have been unruly as of lately but paid is going too far with his locking, hes locking plenty of threads that were not offensive to anyone whatsoever, its just he didn't agree with what was being said so he deemed it 'pointless'. well the people who were discussing topics in the thread didn't seem to find it pointless. i just think maybe there should be a clearer definition of the words 'pointless and useless thread'.. especially in OTD, which may not be as offensive but as far as i know it's still allowed to be crazy.

Ok, Shroomery chat is great, Shroomery chat is great, there I think I got it. Now what about the issue of this thread, Paid locking threads like he did? One of them was an old thread from a long time ago "moderator taint". So, why was this thread locked now, if it wasn't locked before? I'm not mad at Paid or anything, it's nothing personal, I just agree that there were some threads locked which did not really warrant it.

lots of people use the otd as a chat board. i've seen a post work its way off the front page in less than 5 minutes. paid is doing his job in the face of the people he is helping. to me, that is the sign not only of a great mod, but also a person that has the community's best interests at heart. rock on Paid and do your thing.

Again...that is not the issue being addressed in this thread, even if that is the direction the thread had taken.

Furthermore, he was not locking/dumping "pointless" threads, he was locking/dumping ones which criticised the mods. Even ones that criticised the mods in a humorous way, um like mine. Even if I could lock threads which criticised me, I wouldn't do it.

I have stated my opinion, most of those threads should not have been locked. Especially a thread from months ago which was simply bumped up for people to read. Just my opinion, love it or leave it.
