Mexican adventure.. more pics

this is some of the interesting plants i came accross in my travels:

first of all this is a mass of peyote buttons ubtained in nayarit mexico. huichol indian harvested in the interior.

*note the root being harvested. the man told me i must consume it all. very unethical in peyote hravest. please harvest only button*


here is a pic of the roots and buttons.



this is a picture of wild dagga growing wild in southern nayarit.


in between the town of tequila and Guadilajara they were observed 8 feet tall.

the least you can do is plant them in pots or something and cut the 'top' off. that way they'll be getting pups again :thumbup:

those are some nice cacti. it sickens me that some idiot pulled them up by the roots, though.

maybe you should try rooting them. they might still grow.

Why did he say to eat the roots and all. As most herbalists know the fruit, seeds, stems, leaves, and roots of most plants all have different values. Oh and how much were they. Oh and how were they? Looks cool.

of course my spanish isnt very good at all. but he jsut insisted it would be a waste if i didnt eat it all.

i did plant some of the larger roots in and around where i was.

the trip happened almost a year ago but i just got around to postign them now.

as far as how they where they where amazing. teh indian told me if i ate 5 (like is common in literature aroudn here) I would not be able to tell if a tarp was hanging there or not. complete loss of all normal distinctions in what i see. i ate 3 small buttons my first try. little stomach discomfort. then the world was very vivid and old memorys which i thought i didnt even know, came to me.

definatly a teacher.

This is a picture of pomada de peyote. it is used for cuts a bruses. i baught this at tepic state fair.


this is a half section of peyote and its root.



some of the marijuana that i found.




i still have some more pictures to post tommorow. look for it i will post some of the huichol art, its really nice. thanks guys i hope u enjoy.

this is a peyote trio.

ok here are som yarn on wax pictures from huichol indians. they eat peyote and then translate there trip onto the picture. each of these has a written explaination i typed it out but somthing happened and it dissapeared. ill try and get that soon translated into englsih too.(anyone do it good?) anyway.

this is huichol bead work. jaguar head. very amazing.


there was also tonnes of variuos mornign glory species growing everwhere. not to mention damania. hope u guys enjoy
