Ever tried motherwort or mexican taragon?

Two plants I've been wanting to ask about for awhile. From what I've read about the chemistry, they SEEM alright, but I've never ever found a report. Any comments anyone?

I've tried smoking Mexican Marigold with no effects. Traditionally, it is combined with a very strong tobacco but I didn't try it that way. It's actually a pretty neat herb to grow in your garden, the flowers are small but the folliage has a wonderful licorice type of smell and can be used in various dishes, it grows very well in the southwest.

I have toyed with the idea of doing an extraction to see if I can get something that's psychoactive, but we moved about a year and a half ago, and my plants were left behind in the garden.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.
