Since the popcorn is large individual kernels, they dont stick together to form one cake. Therefore, you can shake the jars to spread the myc contact points speeding up complete colonization. However, if youre using a myc solution, shaking then spreads the solution all over the jar starting myc growth VERY quickly.

so those rubbermaids really are rubber.....no wonder i could never get it airtight without a seal ,in australia we convicts only have the hard plastic type,oh well give us another ten years and we'll get em.
