Hmmmmm.

(1) Get from 17 to 30 14,000 ft. peaks.
(2) Run a 5k.
(3) Get more pay or a new job.  I'd like to get out of the apartment game sooner rather than later.
(4) Become less tense by getting back into tai chi or meditation.
(5) Do "the incline" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manitou_Incline) in less than 45 minutes.
(6) Resume trying to learn human anatomy, or maybe even a foreign language!
(7) Make a concerted effort at getting into rock climbing.
(8) Obtain my avalanche awareness level 1 certification.
(8.5) Complete winter trekking and survival school.
(9) Be able to turn reliably without crashing into someone or hitting a tree on my snowboard.
(10) Quit smoking cigs.
(11) Make a jar of cool things I do in 2015 so I can laugh about them in 2016.
(12) See tons of shows, go to camp bisco.
(13) Road trip to texas to pick up my dad's badass floor speakers he decided to give me when he was drunk, but only if I drive there to pick them up.
(14) Be able to play my bass guitar with sheet music.
(15) Complete the Kelso Ridge:

(16) Complete "the sawtooth"

(17) Meet some new people that are cool.

I think that about sums up a year's worth of life.

1. cultivate deeper relationships with people I love

2. try to be humble, meek, and lowly - not envious or given to strife
3. work on connecting my associates to a bachelors in mech engineering or related field.
4. pursue a hobby of mine, dear to my heart
5. no porn, no lust, no pride of life
6. serve others, learn, and teach others as well as excel at my 2 current jobs
7. another bike trek! this time I'm thinkin somewhere in the heartland or southern tier. maybe Nevada, or Colorado.

That's cause he makes mad loot there selling bunk dingo triscuits and fake dipped saber noofits.  Bisco is pretty shitty.  Not because of the biscuits or jam bands, but because of the other assholes.  I've never not had fun there, but its gotten progressively worse and worse each year.  Lots of great music, but the scene sucks.  I will never go back unless they drop all those big EDM acts, those idiots ruin the scene.  I left the last bisco and saw field after field of trash.  It was like none of those assholes even bothered to clean their shit up.  When I was there for the last vibes it was a different experience entirely.  Even past biscos were a lot better before they had skrillfag there.

Only if theyre rooted in something meaningful. Writing 2015 instead of 2014 for the next 12 months doesnt carry that much weight with it. Now having your first kid is something you can seriously back some change behind, or seeing your friend fuck his life up or seeing some kid on deaths door just wishing he could feel normal again. That can change you, that can drive you to be better. The end of the years something so absolutely trivial its hilarious anyone thinks that alone can drive them to change.

What is meaningful? Quite subjective

Subjective but not entierly, we share a lot of common desires and emotions. Its not that difficult to think about what may or may not hold meaning to others. The date really doesnt mean shit to anyone. Its a number, a place holder nothing more. Pretty poor thing to base serious lifechanges off of at anyrate.

I'm very deep in my local drug scene, know a lot of heads in this town.  Let me tell you this, every single and I legit mean every kid that doesn't know what a test kit is, has the philosophy "if it fucks me up its good", thinks strong acid "tastes like chemicals", takes dabs because "yolo" have only hit one fest in their life.  You guessed it Camp Bisco and the spinoff fest they had.  It is a money making scheme get over it

Except, dates do have meaning to people. Anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, deaths. How do you know new years hasn't been a traditionally significant date or time of year for someone, besides just being a placeholder?

Because its impersonal, unless there was a birth, death, or anniversary on that date it holds no other significant meaning to anyone other then being a day to get wasted on. It holds as much weight as saint patties day, and I dont see anyone swearing off anything on that date. Our culture doesnt even lend any serious signifigance to it other then ringing it in hammered and making shitty resolutions your gonna fold on weeks later.
