Where can I find a 120v case fan for a glove box??

I am trying to get the materials together to make a glove box using 9ers tek. Guess I've used the oven tek long enough, time to upgrade slightly. Anyway, finding a 120v computer case fan can be difficult. Does someone know where I can find one of these? Or do you have an alternative? I have the box, plexi-glass, filter, etc., now I just need some way to inject the air in for positive pressure.

Just go to a computer store... Or find any piece of shit computer case and take apart the power box (I'm not sure thats what its actually called) and take the fan out. Also it has an electrical shock warning on it so be careful.

Right, but you just can't hard wire up any old case fan. It has to be a 120v ac and most are 12v dc.

TUCO do this... go buy a 12v computer case fan. next, look around your house for a transfromer (almost all electronic use em). It could rang 9v to 15v. Cut the end and wire up your fan. If you switch wires the fan should turn the other way. Your set.

Just got one from Radio Crap last week for my incubator- it keeps the temperature much more even through the box- a 3" fan for $20, they had a 4" fan for $23. They both need to be connected to something you can plug in the wall, though, which you can get for $3, but you need electrical tape or similar, too. Ask. Tell them you have baseboard heaters and you want to move the hot air around better.
