it takes about 3 days to cool off completely. Just make sure you dont sterlize between every hole, you will waste alot of spore syringe that way. Flame the needle every fourth jar. Really, about 10 second, but the water willc ool it rapidly

im talking about right befre you put the syringes in the jars, and run the spores down the sides.i like to put em in a flame to sterilize them first, but how long does it take to cool, so it wont be so hot it kills the spores when they exit the needle. im not talking about actually boiling them or something. ------------------ Watch out boyz 'n girlz, 4 I B eatin your squirelz!!!!

I cool mine with an alcohol or h2o2 wipe. Seems to do the job.

the ones my friend has been using from Ryche are fine without flaming, wiping, whatever. He is just careful not to contact anything with the tip unnecessarily, and keep the cap sealed with tape when not in use.

Yea, I'm with Krupa. I used to flame sterilize, but ran into the same prob. Just wipe it down with a tissue soaked in rubbing alcohol. It's alot easier to get the whole needle.------------------ Away!
