Outdoor Albino
    #20650403 -

First off i took a spore print marked malabar and put it on agar. I started getting fruits in my petri dish. That looked albino. So i thought maybe it was labeled wrong. Not sure how i could have done that but i do have lots of AA+. Also in my petri dish there were some that were dark capped like the Malabar's so either the Malabar's pushed out some sort of leucistic. Or it was an albino a+ and a couple traditional A strain popped up in my petri dish. With that said. I took some spent substrate cakes broke them up and mixed it with a wheat straw horse manure compost. I lined a crate with cardboard to help absorb the water when it rains. I cased it with oak chips so the sun wouldn't cook it dry. I forgot to mention before i did anything i buried the crate so it can maintain a steady temp before i filled it. Here are a bunch of photos. Not the best but it gives you a good idea.

They are albino a+. I just wanted to explain what i went through leading up to the photos. I learned they were AA+ when they flushed before i broke up the cakes and moved them outside.

I know i keep posting on my thread but. Since the petri dishes made me confused. When i inoculated the jars with wedges i had in mind to do some experimenting. All my experiments are done using spent cakes. So whats coming up next will be the mono tub i made using 4 cakes made with bulk substrate. The tub as of today is fully colonized which too 14 days.

these trays are what my cakes were made in. Another cool thing in this photo was these grew the way the moon raised and feel. The taller side is where the moon came up and the short side is where the moon set . I thought that was super cool.

nice. i love a good outdoor grow.

to address your concerns regarding 'strain'. considering you started from MS (spore print), its perfectly plausible it came from a 'malabar' print. you have an albino cubensis. probably did come from a 'malibar' mushroom which is just a cube itself.

consider yourself lucky, its a lottery of sort.

both my parents have brown eyes, i have hazel. get it? any single spore print hold all sorts of different genetics. like our sperm load.

thats what i thought. my petri dish eventually produce 7 little guys and each one looked different. One especially looked like a pawn off a chess board
