About two months ago, we( user JuneBug and I) inoculated a rubber maid container with shooting stars liquid culture that we previously prepared. Well, about a week later there was healthy growth but we spotted some trich ....
We let it continue colonizing mainly because we were too lazy to dispose of it. At around 40% colonization the trich was taking up a 1/4 of the cake. I then remembered moe's tek.
So we gathered some horse poop; saturated it (no pasteurization needed outdoor); then crumbled up our contaminated cake and put it at the base of a tree that commonly gets alot of mushrooms (humid and shaded). Covered it with some dirt, verm, and horse poop. Well yesterday a rain storm had come to town and it was like Florida man. 90 degrees F out and raining; highest humidity we've seen in a long time down here. We knew the mushroom patch was lovin it.
We've sort of been neglecting the patch lately. Watering it daily most of the time, but we've skipped 2 days or so and its been hot lately. But to our surprise this morning day 2 of the humidity; we see PINS! Our first outdoor pins. I cant explain the excitement. We will post a grow log when they are done growing, but I couldn't wait to post the pin pics. Here you go:

Sorry to revive an old thread, but after taking a trich contaminated jar and doing the above described, would the fruits be safe to eat?

Yes just make sure to make tea with them with boiling water to kill any germs, I mean they did grow in a literal shitpile outside

I hear that
I was referring more to some things i read about tossing trich jars immediately because, say you birthed it and one side had some jungle green patches but the other side had beautiful looking mushies, well you could still get sick because even though it wasn't green at the mushroom the nutrients/bad stuff in the mold can travel through the mycellium.
I read that a lot and took it to heart, now that i have contaminated jars of my own i'm reading way more about burying it outside. So i was just wondering how it was magically safe now. Guess green molds die outside and the healthy mycellium survives "purifying" it?

No, outside the balance changes.
Indoors we have made a niche environment for contamination and our desired fungi alike.
Green molds do even better outside but they are not posing the same risk

I get the first half, can you clarify how the green mold thrives even more outside yet it doesn't pose the same risk as inside? That means the only danger was from getting the green mold spores in the house/grow area?
I thought you could get physically sick/worse from eating contams. But, the more i research, pennicillium may be more common that trich, and i would assume you would be a-ok from eating pennicillium. Just a guess.

Why would you eat either of them in the first place
Green mold spontaneously happens to your indoor grow and you didn't have a contaminated substrate already in your house
Now you have a contaminated substrate in your house. Think it will be easier to see green on your next project? Probably considering you made a mold factory
Outdoors is already completely covered in green mold but it would rather thrive where it prefers to grow.
Indoors you made a niche for mold and mushrooms. If you let mold win it will. Outdoors mold is already winning but you make a niche for mushrooms

That is almost no clarification to me, more like riddles.
I am asking a specific question that you simply answered "why would you want to", and i am asking directly because of safety and other places in here where it is said that that is completely safe.
Obviously i don't think so and am still very much in need of clarification.

I've never seen anyone willingly eat trich or penicllium so it's a genuine question why the fuck would you chose to eat contamination?
If I ever see mushroom growing that's obviously fucked and infected I don't eat it
mushrooms grow outdoors next to other kinds of molds all the time, doesn't mean you're eating mold, There's mold growing in apple orchard doesn't mean apples are moldy.
when it comes to indoors you just don't want to propagate mold. you started with none around but some happened showed up from time to time,
so why would you want to start with mold on purpose being around and then hope none shows up.

So, lets talk clarification, you say now i have a moldy substrate in my house, yes i do, however :
my shiitake that has jungle green is protected by micropore tape, meaning if i researched the micron size of the tape and the green spores i may find that it is completely contained, i have no idea.
My friend growing her cubes, hers dont' have micropore tape but there is the dry verm layer of PF tek. That wont trap much, but i think on the closet shelf its still safe until she (carefully and deliberately) disposes of it. That's not the point.
Why is it so popular to bury contaminated jars? Most of the threads i see they don't do it for fertilization, they do it in hope of fruiting/saving it. Many people are under the assumption, even RR said you can eat the fruits.
So why is outside different? A real explanation please.
