So, for my Kids I picked up an xbox one the other day, as a little something new for them to waste time on.

Bought the Forza Bundle, CoD: Ghosts, Titanfall for my sons, and of course my daughter loves Minecraft. Well today I ask my son how he likes it, and he just kind of shrugs and says to me... its an xbox.

Is the one really not that much better than the 360? Graphically it doesn't shock me really.

Thoughts?

The differences in the Xbox One & the 360 are huge.
Games will appear better and better on in it in the near future, compare a game from the launch of the 360 to a game like Destiny which just came out.
Major differences.
It's still the beginning of the consoles existence & developers are still getting use to the changes from previous consoles.
I for one would have been thrilled to randomly have one given to me :crazy2:

Your sons an inconsiderate bitch.

Teach him some life lessons and some new games, like mow the lawn and dishes done right.

The 360 holds up graphically. He is just pressured by friends and status quo.

Sounds like your son is kind of unappreciative. I was like that as a kid too. Don't worry about it too much. I'm sure he's enjoying it.

Titanfall and COD ghosts suck majorly, If I was your kid and those were the only two games that came with it I d be pretty unimpressed as well. BF4 is something thatd he would probably love, metro and destiny are half decent as well. Not to mention all the other games that are about to drop for it. Wait a bit.

He didn't mean it to be inconsiderate, he just didn't seem to notice the difference, or mind it much.

those games are year one games, they just bumped the resolution up to 1080p over the summer, so they should look twice as better now.

Yup

Any of these games that are on both the 360 and X1 it isn't going to particularly look that much better. You need games that were made for next gen only.

I'm not surprised your son didn't see the difference.

The xbox 1 sucks right now and it's a giant waste of cash right now

I never owned an xbox,but ima have to soon.Im big on racing games...and the forza games,especially the new one looks fucking awesome,must get.

plus i have a logitech g27 wheel.

Halo 1,2,3 & 4 are being re-released next month with 60 FPS, all running in 1080p & Halo 2 is completely re-done for it's 10 year anniversary with a beta for Halo 5.

This alone is enough of a reason for me to want an Xbox One.
This is THEEEEEEEEEEEEEE reason to have an Xbox.
I've been so hard for this to be released ever since it was a rumor :sun:

Xbone looks better
but consoles are getting to the point where there won't be major graphical leaps from one until the next (like super nintendo to N64 or PS1 to PS2)
This is because consoles still have to be affordable, as well as use custom made chips, so the technology in consoles is still far behind PC.

My PC is mid-level, and it SMOKES the PS4 and Xbone in terms of everything. If I spent 300 bucks on a new graphic cards, it would make the Xbone look like PS1. Mind blowing graphics are out there, just not on consoles.

by graphics, I don't mean art style
I mean objective stuff like texture resolution, polygon count, anti-aliasing etc.

I used to be damn near ANTI-PC
Now I'm convinced the only systems worth buying are
PC and whatever Nintendo makes
(Nintendo produces UNIQUE hardware,
producing the potential for experiences
literally impossible on any other medium.)

I am also convinced that although pricey at first
you will have 10X More games on a PC than you will
a console-
I currently have more games than I'll play and
have tons of games for the hell of it.
I just got Tropico 3 for free the other day
played it once.
And I use an xbox controller so my wife and I can
play emulated SNES, PS1 and 2 and n64 and gamecube games.

I can emulate up to N64 and PS1. Everything else won't run, or will run agonizingly slow.
