Just unveiled this morning. I for one, am pumped!

"Exact specifications have not been officially announced, but Nvidia confirmed that Switch uses a system-on-chip from its Nvidia Tegra family of products "based on the same architecture as the world's top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards", and a custom API. Games distributed at retail will be stored on cartridge-like Game cards, similar in design to those used for Nintendo DS and 3DS games."

The wii outsold both of them combined and was half the power...processor and graphics arent everything. Nintendo has always been an innovator. I like the fresh ideas they bring to the table
It's supposed to be as powerful as a ps4 or more....but with the playstation pro and xbox scorpio on the horizon...it wont even compare to those beasts, technically speaking.

Yeah Nintendo usually doesn't try too hard to compete on graphics power with MS and Sony. Not sure if third-party devs will be any more interested in making games for this than they were for Wii U. I like Wii U but the game selection for it was very limited.

Have been looking forward to this since the new Zelda was announced, though just getting it for the WiiU was an option.
That said, this is really conceptually interesting. My initial concern with it being semi-portable was potential system specs, however it appears from the advertisement that they are even getting a copy of the Skyrim remaster. Even the upgrades they made has the game comparatively dated by now, but for a handheld that scale of game is kind of mind-boggling. Have Skyrim on PC, which means my copy of the remaster for PC will be free, but this may have me pick up a copy for Switch to have a fully portable version. Wonder if Nintendo will allow as many mods for Skyrim as Microsoft does, or if they will be draconian like Sony.
It is good to see Nintendo launch with some creativity again, and this looks like it will hit an interesting part of the market -- bridging a gap between the console and handheld markets has been been an area of contention for at least 20 years. Really hope this turns out well and they get a lot of developer support.

Damn, more gimmicks. Hopefully the hardware can compete with other consoles of this generation.
